Life is full of little disappointments. You'll get over it. If this was Rhino we'd be poopieting ourselves all over the place, but since it's Joel most everyone is letting him slide. I like Joel, but it's fairly unprofessional not to release on the announce date and then probably push it back probably a month now. Despite me being a fan, it's a customer-supplier thing going here. Well, I disagree. Relax. It's a great time of the year. It will be released before you know it. You're speculating wildly. There's nothing unprofessional about it, stuff happens. In this case, they decided to make it better/more fun. I'd let anyone slide for that reasoning. Release dates are best estimates, don't take it so personally. The video game I'm waiting on is a year past its original release date. I've learned to be patient.

From the original Cinematic Titanic post:
"The first official Cinematic Titanic feature will be available for sale the Monday following our world premiere on Friday, December 7th. That makes the street date a solid, nearly firm, December 10th or as close as we can get."
There's nothing definite in that statement. He left himself a loophole knowing full well there might be developmental issues going into this. Turns out, they found stuff that needed tweaked or changed. It's not December 10th. It's now "As close as we can get it." End of story.

It's still pretty lame to go past, especially if he knew he was fine tuning it and wasn't going to start shooting until AFTER the live show. Everyone should stop telling me how I should react to this.

We would definitely grill Rhino on this, and we have in the past. But it's a new venture and they're still working the bugs out.
The pushed-back date doesn't bother me much. I'll wait to see what kind of routine they get themselves in for releases before I get too upset.

Everyone should stop telling me how I should react to this. You're right. Go ahead and be upset. Carry on.

I'm not really what you'd consider upset, just annoyed by the fact.

I'm not really what you'd consider upset, just annoyed by the fact. I'm right there with ya man. I was all psyched for the 10th. Kinda bummed that we have to wait. With any luck it'll be ready by X-Mess. Delayed releases are a way of life for geeks like us. Video Games, Movies, Season Finales.. all have been pushed back. This is just one more thing to add to the list.

They started filming in the beginning of the week then prepped for the live show then decided it needed some tweaking AFTER doing the live show.

Dealyed release dates are par for the course in the entertainment industry. How many times has Rhino pushed back release dates on MST3K sets? Almost for all of 'em.
It's an inconvience because I want to see this soooo bad. But I'll survive.
And I don't think my laptop can handle a downlaod (it can't even handle Rifftrax and I have to use another resource to listen to what I paid for) so I'm going to have to order the DVDs.

I guess it's an oversight that one could miss in all of the rush to get everything done. That's why I think it was foolish to have the release date so close to the live show.

To be fair, I just responded where I thought people weren't getting clearly what I was going with. Plus the person I quoted was insuating I didn't read the post fully. BTW folks, this is a discussion board, for discussion. I was just continuing the discussion, please don't make suggestions on my posting habits. Thank you.

Everyone should stop telling me how I should react to this. Jeez dude! Then stop telling us how annoyed you are by it! You know what else would've gotten your point across? Saying ONCE "I'm annoyed it went past due." Message received. They aren't making this specifically for you.
