Has any looked at the EZTakes.com site recently to see the new details?
"4) Our movies are delivered on DVD-5's with full color disc labels, professionally packaged in white paper sleeves with a clear window and shipped via USPS."
You here that? We don't even get a box with these DVD's just a little paper sleeve! I thought i would at least get a box... Oh well... that wont stop me from getting one

Hopefully, Joel will look into getting an upgrade, once the series is better established.

I'm not a fan of buying burned DVD-Rs of brand new entertainment with zero packaging. In fact the thought never crossed my mind until this show debuted, but it appears to be the only recourse until sometime months from now.

Eh, it's not a HUGE deal to me, I'm used to buying MST3K Episodes like that (from traders) and there are several of those I haven't seen.
Think of it as new episodes of MST3K!

I like that it says "professionally packaged in white paper sleeves" as if they needed to call in a crack-team of specialists to carefully slip the discs into their envelopes.

I really don't understand why, for fifteen dollars, they can't at least spring for a box to put it in. I have some around I can use but still…kind of a chintzy way to start things off.
Between this and the sort of ramshackle website, it makes Cinematic Titanic seem a bit slipshod. Which is a weird way to begin things, given the professional product the Film Crew put out just a few months ago, the standard they're bound to be judged by.
If it was anybody other than Joel, Trace, and the gang, I think I would have waited for others' feedback first.

I think we have to remember who is backing the show. There is no TV network handing out contracts, and there isn't a company like Shout pushing the product. I'm just hoping that after all is said and done, enough people buy the DVDs so that the guys can make a few bucks.

Here's what they need to do.
Offer a downloadable, CT DVD box sleeve in PDF that you can print yourself, slip it into a spare DVD clamshell, and there you go, you've got a nice package.
no more complicated than that.

One of you creative types will design a top-notch cover so we can all print our own. OK now, get to work...

I've made a mock up of a CT template for thinpak cases, then I thought about how they are probably (hopefully) going to do a lot of these. With the Rifftrax folks now entering Divx for shorts and other public domain items, my shelves would be overwhelmed quickly. I already have all the MST3K movies in Josh Way's covers and the Rifftrax movies in a matching set.
I think I will use those DVD/CD cases large Wallet style cases to hold the CT and Rifftrax Divx movies in. They may not look as pretty, but it is a good option for holding lots of films and shorts.

I personally could care less about packaging, I'll throw it in a slim jewel case like everything else I have. I'm more concerned about the contents on the disc.

Oh yeah I fully expect that if CT doesn't provide them, there will be plenty of options, the stack of covers made for each RT show there are plenty of people with the skill and the will to make them!
