Blasphemy! That’s it, we can officially kill Beaumont now. I’ll get the lighter fluid. We’ll need a post, some rope, kindling, and an angry mob. Meet back here in five. You've been waiting for this, haven't you? Well... yeah. Was the hooded robe too much?

The theme music is pretty shuweet when you think about it. I like that Josh has a good sense of humor about himself. Interesting to know that Josh was the music talent before Mike came on board. Good to hear from both. Can't wait to hear from Frank. Wonder if they're ever going to start that WWE feud with RiffTrax. I can't wait to see Joel finally clobber Mike with a chair, while Bill piledrives Trace through a table. Will that make Bridget and Mary Jo the scantily clad ringside managers? And we can assume that the part of Vince will be played by Jim.

I often get the feeling that the internet and blogging are both a little foreign to Joel. Heh, same here. Is it okay if I call Joel a noob? Respectfully, of course. ;D Hugh, I hope you're planning on contacting Josh Opitz for an article or interview or something. I mean, you actually have a blog, a really good blog, and a fairly popular one at that.

Argh... the site won't load for me tonight. :-( I really wanna see the updates! Won't load for me either. Don't worry, you haven't missed much, but I'll fill in as best as I can. Mostly it was a "we're still here" kind of update. Joel: *MST3k theme music was written in a Denny's by me and Josh. *They'd like to do some interviews for marketing purposes. Please contact joshopitz@gmail.com (a different Josh) *Josh wrote something, too. Josh: (It's CT, accept no substitute) *You remember me, I'm the guy you don't remember. *He has some musical talent, so he hummed/sang the CT theme demo. The final cut was performed by another group. <CT theme, rough cut but basically the same> <CT theme, as heard in the promo> *J Elvis or Josh, whichever you'd prefer. And that was about it.

It finally loaded. Sweet. :-) I am glad that they finally updated, this wait seems to be dragging on forever. The theme music bit was good. I was a little afraid to hear Josh "singing" the theme, but it was actually remarkably good... was he really mimicking all the horn sounds with his voice? Pretty awesome.

I read this update, and all I can think is "EZTakes and thier staff must be completely overwhelmed by the orders - that's why it's taking so long!"

Hearing Josh mouth the theme song was a hoot!
And now the sad truth... it has become my new ring tone.

I propose we pronounce his name "gell-viss."
And I officially declare my flip flop back to CT, because JElvis said so. Sorry "bow-mont."

I thought it was funny that Joel pointed out that Josh just updated. Yeah, Joel god-love-em doesn't come off very entertaining or funny or even informative in his posts. On the other hand, MJ and Jelvis's posts were all of the above. I hope they all start posting more. Sounds like Frank is up next, and then hopefully Trace. BTW, I like the theme song. BUT, I'm disapointed with the lack of (as Jelvis puts it) a Gilliganesque premise to explain. That and the fact that there were no out-of-theater clips in the demo has me thinking the plot/premise is going to be razor thin. Which is a real shame--I loved the wacky/garagey/low-budget/rainy-saturday-afternoon premise of MST3K--I honestly think it's what gave it its charm and a big reason why it became a cult classic and not just a couple of guys making fun of a movie. Anywoo, if my hunches are true, my excitement of CT has dropped just a couple of points (but just a couple!).

Anywoo, if my hunches are true, my excitement of CT has dropped just a couple of points (but just a couple!). Joel to me has his own coolness, and that's just being his own. Not having to be funny, and maybe not always saying the right things, a mistake here and there, but that's cool to me. He's not always "on." Although I know what you mean about Josh ect. I'll be kind of disappointed if the "story" side of CT isn't too apparent, also. I rather loved the idea myself of finally having some cool, weird, wacky premise. (Film Crew's to me was just kind of flat.) So that's a little downer. But on the flip side, hey! What an update! (And a Josh been any other name would, ah, be just as cool! We remember and love you, big guy! ;D) I'm listening to the theme as I write, and I have to say I even kind of like Josh's version! (almost, dare I say, better!) It's strange and beautiful, dreamy and grotesque! Oh, it's good! The theme really does have the 1960s sound. Love it! The instrumental kind of reminds me, now that I hear it uninterrupted by riffs, of some late night talk show intro, and at the end...." Here's Joel!" Hope they do more with it, too! Nice to hear the dvds have broken a few records for EZtakes. That's always a good sign, but is anybody here surprised? I'm not.

I love that theme song. I swear I have heard it before though, on a TV show or SOMETHING!
