Only other thing. Definitely needs more premise. Seeing the Time Tube come down at the end was cool, but if you were a person who was watching this and hadn't been following the news on the project, you wouldn't know what the heck that was! I've been following the project and I still don't know what the Time Tube is. Overall, I liked it quite a bit and it was a great start for the series. I'm definitely curious to see where they'll take it. And even though he was named as such in the credits, I'm still debating back and forth whether that was really Stephen Hawking.

So there wasn't any actual explanation of why they were riffing movies in regard to the show's story? The Time Tube made an appearance and that was it?

Overall I thought it was hilarious and I got giddy hearing them riff. There we're a lot of lines that stuck out, I'll spare listing them. The Stephen Hawking bit was hysterical, it came out of nowhere, it was perfect.
My only nitpicks would be, much like everyone else, more premise, movie riffing is great, but I'd kind of like a backstory. And (I think it was Joel) putting the movie in the time tube at the end is really all we have, and it still doesnt make sense.
Also, I like the shadowrama host segments, they are super funny, Trace's segment where he picks on the girls make up was great, all of them were. But, I would like to see them for real on scree at least once or twice. Soemnone said an intorduction to it, and that would be great, it would explain the premise, and give us a chance to se our favorite people. And maybe and ending thing too. It wouldnt need to be like MST3Kstyle, looking at the camera and such, but just an outward shot of them before and after the riffing to explain why.

Maybe it did, and I just missed it. But given his cameos on the Simpsons, I wouldn't have been too surprised to learn that Hawking was also a MSTy. ;D

I watched it and enjoyed it. The jokes were real funny. Joel singing Peter Frampton was my favorite part, but Mary Jo brought the funny all the way through (her Brain Of Blood Mobile ruled!).
I was hoping there wouldn't be a bunch of political stuff in there, I see enough of that on a daily basis and was hoping for a break from it. Four different Bush/GOP jokes just seemed like piling on one side. I could have done without the couple pot jokes too because I was going to show it to my nephew. But aside from that stuff, it was all very funny and well done. Looking forward to the next one!

Well, I watched it. And just to add a few comments...
I agree with those who said there isn't enough premise. I really expected there to be a little bit of a description as to what exactly they were doing. If they're going to bother building scaffolding and sitting around on it, they could at least tell us what the heck they're doing up there.
Joel and Trace carried the riffing. They were the biggest treat of the whole thing. In fact, there were some exchanges with them where it sounded straight out of an MST3K episode. Josh was not bad for as long as he had been out of the game. Frank and Mary Jo, well, they were pretty quiet for the most part, and didn't make as big an impression. Riffing-wise, I agree it sounded like a third season MST3K episode.
And though I don't like quoting episodes that much, I will say that Joel's "I'm old" comment was one of the funniest things I'd heard in a while.
The movie selection was fantastic. Of the type that made MST3K fun to laugh along with. They're welcome to do more of this. Frankly, there was nothing gory or off-putting about any of it. It's too bad to take seriously.
The breaks, or movie pauses or whatever you call them were fine, but I'd hold back on calling them hilarious. Josh's moment wasn't too bad, but the rest didn't thrill me. They could have skipped over them completely and it wouldn't have hurt this project at all.
As a whole, not too bad. I'd call it about as good as a middle-of-the-road MST3K episode, but it's definitely not MST3K reincarnated. I'll pick up the next one, though.

How are the chapters placed? I've been wondering if they made the breaks their own seperate chapters so you could skip over them, if you ended up wanting too, like when you rewatched it.

I've got a technical question.
Is the video interlaced or progressive?

For some reason, the funniest thing about Josh's guitar segment is the way that Joel and Mary Jo got up to watch him, and then jumped when he smashed the thing.
Some of the long, extended jokes really slayed me for some reason. Like, 'These Boots Were Made For Walkin'', and Joel's lengthy Slinky song as the guy was slowly pushed down the stairs. That just kept going and going!

I watched it last night and it made me happy.
However, I'm not sure how I feel about the silhouettes. It makes the performance feel just that- like a performance. It didn't seem like five friends hanging out and riffing on a bad movie. It felt like five performers reading off a script, complete with over-the-top gesticulations.
Maybe it'll take a few films for them (and me) to get accustomed to it. Or maybe they want it to play more like a stage performance.
It still made me happy, though.
