Hi Everyone,
Well, we couldn't have had more fun at our sold-out CT launch party in Mpls. on Tuesday! Our deepest thanks to all of those who made it – many of whom traveled impressive distances through treacherous skies and roads to do so. Please know how flattered we were by those efforts. We were so glad to get the chance to meet many of you in person. The internet is fantastic and we couldn't make this project happen without it, but the chance to connect with all these cool, supportive people like yourselves in person is really special. I think one of the managers at the ACME Comedy Co. said it best when I arrived at the club:
“Josh, your guys fans are so awesome. If everyone had fans that cool and nice to deal with, I’d actually like my job.”
( I don't have time to upload 5 photos just now . . . someone gonna get on that ? )

We love our movie riffing, but the opportunity for us all to do stand-up together for the first time in a couple of decades was a pretty big nostalgic thrill for all of us too. If you saw the show, you can attest – there are 5 very different minds at work on an episode of Cinematic Titanic.
However, for those of you who just want to see the movie riffing live, we are pleased to announce…
CINEMATIC TITANIC LIVE!
SAT. OCTOBER 25th 2008
At the historic STATE THEATRE in Minneapolis, MN
A full-blown, big screen, scaffold in place live presentation in a truly fantastic venue. I know it’s nine months from now, but we will be putting tickets on sale sooner rather than later and we will make sure you folks on the mailing list are first to know when.
OTHER COOL STUFF…
PAUL FEIG writer/director and creator of “Freaks and Geeks” on CT:
"MST3K lovers of the world, rejoice! The gang is back and they're funnier than ever. I'm so happy!"
popmatters.com sure liked our dvd:
This is outstanding stuff, the kind of rapid fire revelry that sends a satiric chill down your funny bone. While it’s hard to top the artistic triumph that was Mystery Science Theater 3000, what’s clear is that none of the former participants have lost an ounce of their wonderfully witty edge.
hitchmagazine.com on “The Oozing Skull”
There’s no “getting used” to it, nor “settling in.” So “on” is their rapport, it’s as if these guys never stopped working together in the first place.“
A cool article on MinnPost.com by an author who’s watched MST since it’s first KTMA broadcast.
Q & A
Q: When is the next Cinematic Titanic DVD coming out?
A: Just as soon as every single person on this mailing list buys the first one…just kidding of course. We are working on it and are hoping to shoot by the end of March. While we are really enjoying the fun and freedom of the “artist owned and operated venture”, turns out there’s a whole bunch of details involved in such a thing. We, the “artists” are slowly but surely adjusting to that fact and improving our “grown up” skills by the day. Bear with us, we’re committed to making this thing go on for a good while – we’ll pick up some speed.
DID YOU KNOW?
4 out of 5 of us are members of the Writers Guild of America (if you've driven by Disney Studios in the last few months, you may have seen me picketing). We are thrilled the strike is over and salute our fellow union members for their commitment and unity in this long, hard struggle.
All the best,
J. Elvis
