I thought being an adult would be pretty cool, but it turns out that it's not quite as fun as I expected. I put in for a refund, but I'm still waiting on the reply.

Wait a minute... did anyone see Callipygias' niece holding a coat hanger and wearing a curiously blank expression? Hey, whatever works I guess. Let's be honest, did Lena look happier pre or post-lobotomy in Parts: The Clonus Horror? I'm going to say post.

Kubrick's "Napoleon" script was supposed to have been released in book form with location stills, etc. years ago.
(And how about that "Aryan Papers" script he wrote?)

I keep waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. Actually, what's worse: having your expectations dashed due to a long delay or having them dashed due to suckiness? I'd say the latter. Case in point: the Star Wars prequels.

I keep waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. I feel you on that one. Even though I'm required by law to be a Sox fan, I can't help but feel for the Cubbies... oh well next season!!

I keep waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. And in the meanwhile, the Red Sox has won it twice. Oh, the humanity. But back to the topic at hand: "Dashed expectations". I'm really too much of a pessimist to actually have expectations. I thought the Superbowl was pretty funny {leave it to the Patriots to go 18-1 the wrong way} and I'm a New Englander. There will always be something "better", something "new and improved" that comes along. Just close your eyes to the hype and let it come to you in its own good time.

suckiness? I'd say the latter. Case in point: the Star Wars prequels. What ?, now all 3 suck equally ??

Revenge of the Sith was ok on first viewing but the only good thing that can be said about it was that it was better than Phantom and Clones. That's not much of an accomplishment.

Well, if your gonna state that like's it fact and not opinion, there's probably not much point in going back and forth on it. One thing I do know is this world gets more cluttered , cynical , and dark on a daily basis. Lucas waited too long to make his "Flash Gordon" pulp style films and release them in a very different age then saw Episodes 4 thru 6. 2 years from now we might be looking at a consensus that Indiana Jones 4 was a big mistake !

Where's the everyone-wears-the-same-jumpsuit-style-outfit-with-a-different-color-and-a-large-number-on-it clothing style I was shown in sci-fi movies? I mean, talk about simplifying your wardrobe!
Still, we'd have to figure out that numbering scheme... Are low numbers better, or high numbers? Is it like government pay scales / classifications? Do you suck-up to a 2, or a 14?
Does it have something to do with looks? If so, then a good 90 percent of people would probably be wearing something in the low numbers... Me included. Imagine saying, She's a 10-plus-fraction!, and you mean that almost literally. But again, what's the top-end of the numbering system?
So many questions....

RotS is also better much than Jedi. THAT'S the only Star Wars movie that really dashed my expectations, which were very, very high after waiting 3 years for it after the amazing Empire. After the way George had messed around with the OT for years and after how disappointing Jedi was, I wasn't really expecting too much from the prequels. Esp. when it was revealed that Anakin was going to be a little kid in the first one.
