And it states the new episode is due at the end of April. Something I've read on the internet couldn't be false could it?

Genius. The man is a genius (in that "hot glue gun genius" type of way).

Can we start a thread speculating that IFC would (or should) buy the new Cinematic Titanic and show it weekly? Or monthly? Or once in a while? Or ever?

That'd be good, expcept I'm not sure IFC is shown everywhere...
BTW, when Joel references his "partner", a thought occurs to me...
Is Joel married? Or is he a swingin' bachelor?

Thanks for the link, sky! That was a very cool interview. It was very interesting to read Joel's thoughts on movie-watching in Hollywood, as well as to learn some more of what led up to CT. And it's also quite cool to read about how they've been listening to the fans about more premise. Can we start a thread speculating that IFC would (or should) buy the new Cinematic Titanic and show it weekly? Or monthly? Or once in a while? Or ever? You mean buy the rights to show the CT episodes? I hope you didn't mean buy CT outright. Joel made it clear in the interview that they're self-financed for a reason--independence!

I'm sure the partner mentioned up there was Jim Mallon. And last I heard, Joel was married with two kids? Though who knows, all that playset equipment in the backyard may just be his. ;D

Man, Joel just gets more awesome every time I hear from him. He could build a Tom Servo in a half hour? Despite the fact that's he's had no reason to build one for how many years? He rocks! ;D

Yeah, that's what I meant, sort of. Really, I was just pulling legs. But as I think about it, if CT were to ever air shows on TV, IFC would be a nice fit. I imagine they really like to allow independence (in their name) with anything they show. I would think, in theory yet again, that IFC would give them TOTAL creativity to do what they want. It's kind of what they do on a lot of shows (or so it seems...). Just theorizing out loud, I suppose. Personally, on DVD or on TV, no biggie for me. As long as they keep coming I am a happy man!

Does anyone have the un-MSTied version?

Torgo had Cloven Hooves? Really? Does anyone have the un-MSTied version? I have it. You can buy the commerical release pretty cheap from a number of places.

And last I heard, Joel was married with two kids? Though who knows, all that playset equipment in the backyard may just be his. ;D Joel mentioned in the infamous Slashdot interview that he left MST because of his disagreements with his "partner in the venture." Our very own RAD, a.k.a. Mr. Mary Jo Pehl, confirmed recently that Joel is indeed married. His wife's name is Tiffany and they do have kids (according to this 2007 interview). BEAULIEU: ...Josh and Joel and I, like I said, we’re trying to get something off the ground, and getting something together is tough. We’re not hungry young bucks anymore. We’re old men with families… well, Joel has a family.
QS: Did you ever think you would see that?
BEAULIEU: You know, maybe the robots were sort of a practice for him. I think he’s a pretty good dad.
QS: I know his wife from my New York days.
BEAULIEU: Yes, Tiffany.
QS: So again, what a small world.
BEAULIEU: Yeah. We get together with them quite often. They’re just regular folk.
