The Wild Things are here. This might be the most pointless of all of the Pointless Friday Polls. None of these three episodes is very highly regarded, and they have absolutely nothing in common. At all. I suppose they are similar in that they all completely fail in their attempts at genre. One's a biker film that doesn't have bikers. One's a sexy-comedy that's neither sexy nor funny. And one's a western-romance where the hero doesn't do anything heroic and there's no romance. They also completely fail in their attempts at a quirky character. Which leaves you with the difficult choice: Banjo, Ratfink, or Remedy? Who's the real wild thing? Besides him, of course:

The host segments alone make Last of the Wild Horses the obvious choice IMHO. Plus this is the only episode that I actually got my dad to watch with me. He didn't care for the host segments, but he laughed alot at the riffing in the theater.

I actually like the riffing in Wild Rebels. I've watched it several times, and I find it entertaining. Not the movie but the riffing ;D

I really like Wild Rebels, but I've got to give my vote to Last of the Wild Horses. Both have good riffing and great host segments, but I give the slight edge in both areas to Horses.

I've said it before, but Wild Horses has my vote for the best-conceived host segments in the history of the show. The riffing itself wasn't that memorable, but at least the movie wasn't quite as big a slab of bland as the other two.

I highly regard the Wild Rebels. Unlike my friend CH, I didn't find the movie bland but had a lot of fun with all the colorful characters (Plus it has my favorite quote, "That square bugs me, he really bugs me!"). The riffing is top drawer, love the cereal skit (The others are nice for the way the group interacts with one another). It's an ep that has improved with each viewing
Horses was fun. Great skits, solid riffing and a film that also has some memorable characters. Plus Frank and Forester in the theater!
As for Bats, only really liked the short, the rest of it I don't care for in the least.
Vote: Rebels!

I don't know, every time I've tried to get through Wild Rebels (or Batwoman, minus the short), my mind has just wandered off and I've become way too distracted. I'll try again sometime, but I don't have much hope.

But you must think like me! For some strange reason I get a kick out of the movie. Like Frank I give it 5 skulls, my highest rating.

Wild Rebels the movie is a lot of fun. Lots of overacting, goofy over-the-top characters, action, that hilarious song, and it's overflowing with ham-fisted dialogue. ;D
It's a terrible movie, but for me, it's one of the more watchable flicks they ever did. To each his own I guess.

The melding of two genres (Star Trek & MST3K) make it an easy pick. But the Wild Rebels episode had a much funnier (lamer) movie. It's got so much to riff on, and the movie does have some movement, from race cars, to bars, to shotgun shacks, and shotguns! And DoorKnob. (Thank You, MST Review) But there is another merging of genres in WR. The lighthouse, with its circular staircase to the top. There's a very similar one in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In THAT lighthouse, I've not just walked up the steps, I've driven a dirtbike up the steps, then drove it out the open door at the top, dropping a hundred feet. Surprisingly good shocks on that dirtbike, too. I think I landed on a cop...
Edit: Another great weekly Poll by The Helmeted One. Great pic too, with the I-pod & Jet-ski.

But you must think like me! Well, I guess we'll just have to agree that you're wrong to disagree.

I need to see Wild Rebels again...it's been a while. I have been seeing Steve Alaimo LPs at the swap meets lately like they're going out of style (well...), so it must be a sign. Seriously, he was a pretty cool singer with some cred in the black Florida soul scene with Betty Wright, Clarence Reid, etc. Oh yeah, the episode...I remember it being OK and that's from someone who loves the 60s movies. As a dopey movie that I would enjoy seeing MSTed or otherwise, schnockered off my rear with a bunch of friends, WWoBW is the way to go. Episode wise, I loved Last of the Wild Horses
Guy: "...and we'll just wait on the sidelines" Frank: "uhhhh...one thing: What's a 'sideline'?"
haha, I love it when time period movies make botches like that

I love Wild World of Batwoman. There, I said it, and I'd say it again....well, you get the idea. And say what you will, Katherin Victor had real courage. To quote Liz at And You Call Yourself A Scientist!: "...this woman had courage, and I don't mean the put-her-in-a-skimpy-outfit-and pushup-bra-and-let's-give-her-an-Oscar-Julia-Roberts courage, either. I mean the real kind." Let's face it, the woman came up with her own costume and maintained her dignity throughout that ridiculous excuse for a movie, never breaking character, always a pro. Let's hear it for Katherin!
That isn't to say that Wild Rebels and Wild Horses don't entertain me mightily as well. Joel singing to Gypsy cracks me up.
I'm in it for the kicks!
