I was listening to a local (Los Angeles) radio station, "Indie 103.1" when I heard a mention of Cinematic Titanic and Ford Theater in the same sentance. Also mentioned was the L.A. Film Festival. I'll see if I can find out more...

Ah Hah!
Found this on the L.A. Film Fest website:
SPECIAL EVENT SCREENINGS AT THE FORD AMPHITHEATRE
Cinematic Titanic The minds behind the cult classic TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 presents Cinematic Titanic, a hilarious combination of comedy and B-movies, in a special live performance by Joel Hodgson and his crew. FEATURING Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff, Mary Jo Pehl
Yes! A Special Live Performance! I was thinking they'd just screen the DVD... The FF runs from June 19th through the 29th, 2008. Other than that information, I know not when this will happen. Would be great to know if/when tickets are available.
And this looks good too!
Swear-A-Long Scarface Think you've got what it takes to swear alongside Tony Montana and his foul-mouthed crew? Don't miss this opportunity to curse under the stars at this special “Adults Only” screening of a timeless f#*!*ing classic. DIRECTOR Brian de Palma WRITER Oliver Stone PRODUCERS Martin Bregman, Peter Saphier CAST Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Robert Loggia, Miriam Colon, F. Murray Abraham

Now if they could just possibly have a live show in New York City, I might be able to go to it!

Sounds good, but all I see are pass prices which are too expensive for me (don't see regular ticket prices. I don't know if they are the same thing). Especially since the only thing that looks interesting are maybe a couple of other movies and the CT deal

$1000.00? That's for an all-inclusive ticket to the whole festival, but I can't find anything about a ticket to the CT event only. Maybe RAD can use his contacts to make it easy to purchase an advanced ticket?

I wuz wondering the same thing. No "ala carte" ticket offerings on the site, only all-inclusive, expensive, snooty-sounding full-boat passes. Also, no specifics as to date and time. Makes it rather difficult if one were thinking about trying to plan to maybe attend.
Maybe updates and specifics will be forthcoming shortly. I hope.

Update: I used my network of contacts, cashed in a few favors and put my Sherlock cap on (translation: I picked up the phone and made a call).
The L.A. Film Festival schedule will be posted on Wednesday, May 21st, and individual tickets are to go on sale on Monday, June 2nd.
