I can undersand the collector spirit to have the case, the art and the manufactured DVD in your hand, but there is an $8 difference between the manufactured product and a download. I confess I'm not a collector. I just want the show. I can burn my own DVD's and save big!

I just ordered the DVD, not 2 minutes ago. I think the price is more than reasonable. I'm glad to help fund the next one, and the next one, and the next, the next.... ;D McCloud speaks for me as well. I'm going to enjoy having a nice DVD in a nice case, to have and to hold.... My husband, who's been looking seriously into this Internet marketing thing lately, saw the $2.53 s/d and laughed. He said, "What are those guys thinking? Other places are charging at least $5!" I think "other places" inflate the shipping cost. Realistically, how much would it actually cost to mail an item that size? Probably the couple of bucks they are charging. IMHO those who inflate shipping costs to increase profit are less that ethical.

Laptop is dead, my Aunt's dialup moves like sludge. No contest, I ordered the DVD and I can't wait (My love for their first effort still resonates strongly)

Ok, I gave up and ordered the DVD, case, artwork and all. It supports some of my favorite people so what the heck, I'll shell out the bucks! It may take anywhere from a day to a week for EZTakes to sort out the server problem. From what I understand they are a shoestring operation right now and probably don't have the capital to have multiple servers and the IT dept expertise to deal with them.

So their tactic of slowing down the server worked! J/k...
I got the DVD too. My Receipt (here we go again) number is 2203-0952-2638-0575. Now how do we figure out the number of sales?

IMHO those who inflate shipping costs to increase profit are less that ethical. I used to work for a company that shipped a lot of items of that nature. It was amazing how much profit we made on "postage savings". Though that was literally the only thing we made any money on. Esp. when you consider that those kind of companies are probably getting VERY healthy discounts from UPS, USPS, and FedEx due to their volume. Much like how the old Columbia House deal was able to give you 12 free CD's and still make money due to the $2.95 "shipping and handling" you paid for the order.

Unless they've sold in the quadrillions, my number doesn't really seem related to yours. That was one of the fun things (the only one?) about ordering Oozing Skull directly from the EZTakes website.

Definitely the only thing fun! My feeling is eventually they'll have the people and resources in place to make this an entirely in house production with their own servers for downloading. One thing they really harped on early on was 'wanting creative control' over how the shows went and not having outside influence. I think that having these issues with outside companies that are beyond their control and hardly their fault will drive them to make it totally in house with people they know and trust to do the business end for them. Ideally, that would also speed everything up.

Ordered the DVD. I hate downloading music, television shows, movies, etc. I make an exception for Rifftrax commentaries because they're super-quick to download and it wouldn't make any economic sense to order a CD of the commentary (which they don't offer, anyway.)

Well, it looks like DVD was the way to go. I wouln't be suprised if they're making more money off the direct DVD sales too, which is cool by me.
I was worried there would be download issues and it looks like there is. Anyone actually able to download it, yet?

Ordered the DVD, and it will reside on my bookshelf with all of the other MST-related DVDs. If I need a digital version, I'll make my own.

I ordered the DVD today. I would have liked to have downloaded it, but HughesNet has download limits.
