I went with Classic Rock because, to me, that includes a good amount of Jazz Rock, Funk Rock, Prog. Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Blues Rock, Art Rock, Pop Rock, Folk Rock, Roots Rock, Hard Rock, Soft Rock, Punk Rock and Latin Rock...all of which I love. But my taste in music is wildly eclectic. I also love Disco, Metal, Jazz Fusion, Pop, Classical, New Wave, Classic Soul, Alternative, Standards and some Country (The Eagles count, right? ). The only forms of music I can't deal with are modern R&B, modern Country (both of which are painfully generic, IMO) and Nickelback/DAUGHTRY-style Post-Grunge. *shudder*IMO their first two albums are still their best Much agreed. The Masterplan was pretty good, too. Co-sign. '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' was their best album, IMO. I'll have to check out 'The Masterplan'. The only songs from it I know I've heard are the awesome title track and the equally awesome "Acquiesce".

Well, I chose alternative, but it isn't limited to that. I have a pretty broad taste in music. High energy music is my favorite. Three of my favorite genres are Punk, Metal, and Bluegrass. (Weird, I know.)
Since we're naming bands, some of my favorites are Social Distortion, Ramones, Misfits (old school), Old Crow Medicine Show, and Down.

Phil Anselmo was absolutely mesmerizing. His voice was spot on and he was truly happy to be there. Much different than the show I saw a couple years ago where he was so hammered he stumbled over the speaker and almost biffed into the crowd. Then proceeded to lay on stage and spend the next ten minutes babbling about something or other that still remains a mystery.

I just stumbled across them a few months back. NOLA is now one of my favorite albums. I know I'll get several chances to see them, because they live just a few miles down I-10 from me (They're from New Orleans, and I also am from Louisiana). They've been talking about putting out some new stuff and I'm anxious to see what it's like. ;D
