That is amazing right there. I might have to look into going to that. Three unreleased episodes? None of the ones we're seen before? That's too good to pass up! ;D

CT keeps moving their shows closer and closer to me, taunting me when I've already bought my Minneapolis tickets. This is a bit close to Christmas, though, so it might be iffy anyway. I'll keep it in the back of my head for a day trip.

Shall we arrange a meet up?
What kind of flare can we wear to alert each other of our presence?
The only MST-based "tour" thing I've done before this is the College Tour in 94 -- saw the Outlaw which a bunch of other youngins.

Two shows a night!? I hope they'll have time for fan meet & sign things. half the reason I want to go to one of these is to say hi and shake the hands of all the those guys.
I think I'm gonna try and get the Friday at 7:30 showing.
EDIT: Okay, I made the purchase - Friday 7:30, 2 tickets for my wife and I. I got the VIP seats, for the heck of it. FYI, I called Laskeshore and asked them what VIP seats meant, and the nice lady said that Lakeshor is a General Admission, first come first served seating, so the VIPs, are the first 5 rows reserved.
Look forward to seeing any of you guys that are there Friday.

I bought VIP tickets for the 7:30 shows on Friday and Saturday. If I had any more vacation days left I would go to the Thursday show too. Oh well. I suppose this will have to do. ;D

Color me confused on this one. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining there are more live shows upcoming. It's the manner in which we learn about them that is puzzling.
Follow along: in February, Josh announces there will be a live CT show in Minneapolis in late October. Many people hear this and make plans, in some cases, having to travel significant distances with related expenses. Then, in the time between February and August, more shows are randomly announced...usually on the CT site or via the email club. The St. Louis show timing seems unfortunate for those who would have had an easier time going to Missouri than Minnesota. As for the Chicago weekend shows, no mention on the CT site, no email, nothing on Satellite News. It takes a post on the message boards to learn about it? I'm scratching my head over this one. It just seems to me, in my opinion, there's a rather slap-dash, random pattern to some aspects of the business end of things, especially in regard to live show announcements/scheduling.
As stated prior, I'm always happy when there's new product to purchase, or more shows to attend. It's the scheduling and announcing procedures which I think could use some adjusting.

My guess is that the demand for live CT is higher than expected. So initially, it's a cool thing that fans come out to, and make special arrangements, so we get in that habit. Now, because they're successful, more places want to book the show making it more convenient.
I guess while it may stink for some of you who made plans at first, it may just signal a change of thinking on everyone's part. It almost reminds of a band's tour schedule--they'll take shows when and where they can get them, and whoever can go will go.
Now...any chance of an Oklahoma show? Pretty please?
Didn't think so.

Maybe this is all part of their dastardly plan to get our money. They'll only tell you about one show for the longest time, making you think it will be the only show ever, so you get your tickets and then travel across the country to see their show, because like any self-respecting MSTie you have to go or you'll just die. Fast forward a few months later. Your plans for the far away show are set, and then BOOM! They announce they're having another show right next to your house! You can't cancel your plans for the original show (since you paid for plane tickets and all), but it would be silly not to see the one going on right next door too! It's too good to pass up! Yeah, yeah, we know you have car and house payments to make, and the kids need new school clothes, and the dishwasher needs to be repaired. But those things can wait. We're the Titans, and you looooove us, right? Next thing you know you've just paid for two shows, and Joel and Co. are laughing all the way to the bank. That, or they have no idea what they're doing. But the first idea sounds more fun.

I'm going to all 3 because they're doing 3 different films, and when the hell will I ever have a chance to see these guys live again? Maybe never, so it's a chance I jumped at. AND 3 different films!
As far as the marketing aspect of it goes, either Joel or Trace stated that marketing was a whole new thing to them, and they didn't know exactly what they were doing, but they're learning and getting better at it.

The folks at CT are footing the bill for the whole endeavour right now. If its going to keep going they need to keep finding as many money making methods as possible.
After seeing the RiffTrax guys live in San Diego it was amazing how much fun it was, not only to see them riffing on stage, but to share the event with a room full of MSTies.

I want the live shows to become so sold-out successful that the Titans will have no choice but to buy an old yellow school bus and paint it in psychedelic colors and tour the country, doing live shows. It'll be just like The Partridge Family, only it won't stink. And they won't have to lip sync bad songs, either. Just tour America in the Titan Bus and riff on bad movies and make lots of $$$$$.
