UPDATE: I recently borrowed Small Change from a friend of mine to put on my iPod, and I haven't stopped listening since. Amazing album. The Piano Has Been Drinking was very funny, and Step Right Up made me laugh so hard. Tom Traubert's Blues is really good, but depressing, though I still hold that his most depressing song (and the most depressing song of all time) is Poor Edward.

I'm a big fan of the three albums I have, one of which is Alice. I like the sick circus vibe of that one, but I guess I can see why it isn't popular among hard core Waits fans.
But maybe I'll have to get more now.

I was shocked people don't seem to like Alice. It's one of my favourites of his.

I have no problem with Alice. I love what i have heard of it, including Poor Edward, I love the song, it's just very depressing.

Good song. Flower's Grave may be even sadder. I love the title track and I'm Still Here most. The latter is such a beautiful, simple little song.

Just bought Alice. Loved it. I still think that Poor Edward is more depressing than Flower's Grave.
My favorite is the title track as well.
