And what was the name of that show that showed the Japanese game show (or whatever it was) and dubbed in their own dialogue (I think they did, can't really remember the details....). MXC: Most Extreme Elimination Challange. Dubbed version of Takeshi's Castle en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MXCif you like mst3k- you should find this show amusing. ;D

I just got my copy, the first film I've bought from them. Loved it, and now I've just purchased "Oozing Skull" and "Legacy of Blood". I'm also jonesing to see them live in Boston on the 21st.

You might be thinking of "Banzai!" which aired on Fox for a few weeks, several years ago. I taped one episode and watch it every so often, because it is totally NUTS! But one episode is really all you need.

Banzai! was actually a British show (if it was the same one shown over there) that aped Japanese game shows. It featured challenges and asked you to bet on them, but all of them were really stupid like a race between Michael Jackson impersonators who have to Moonwalk the entire way ON ICE. Brilliant!

Just watched this one. I bought it at their live show in Boston. Seeing them live is much better. The delivery is improved when they have audience feedback. This one was okay, some good laughs. I liked Josh's line about how a scene reminded him about his last days at MST. There was a Mary Jo line that made me laugh - when a guy swishes his foot, very slightly, over a footprint after a few of them were graverobbing - "Yeah, that was the only evidence of your presence."
Pretty good, but I liked "Blood of the Vampires" and "Dynamite Brothers" better, again, probably because of the live factor.
I'm going to have to become a Titanhead and follow them around cross country to catch the live shows.

I just ordered Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks and Legacy Of Blood. I can't wait to see them. The only one I have so far is Oozing Skull and I absolutely love it. I hope these 2 are just as good.

TJ, I would say Legacy of Blood is my most watched CT, though Wasp Woman is my favorite, LoB is a very close second. And I do enjoy Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks. I think you'll be happy.

I hope so. For I am a poor MStie and I don't have gobs of cash to throw around for stuff like this.

Personally, I feel that the CT version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is superior to the MST ep. But Legacy of Blood is still my favorite CT so far. I'm not so into Wasp Woman, but I blame the movie more than the riffing.

I've seen all of the CTs thus far, and I must concur with Cerrita that "Legacy of Blood" is the best one to date. In fact, it's the only one I've viewed all the way through more than once. ("Wasp Woman" was one of my least favorite ones, though...I actually fell asleep midway through that one.) "Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks" is up there with some of the better one, too. Good choices, Tor, I'd say.

I really wanted F'sCoF because they never did a Frankenstein movie on MST. I can't wait till they get here.

It’s still not quite a Frankenstein movie though, after you see it you’ll know what I mean. It’s not a bad episode but not as good as Legacy of Blood or Blood of the Vampires. (My two favorites.)

I'm not so into Wasp Woman, but I blame the movie more than the riffing. Actually the reason I like that ep is partly because of the movie. There are some decent actors in it, plus you've got MJP's "boardroom" scene, along with Trace's "montage" moment. Unlike others, I'm not that enamored with Blood of the Vampires and it might have something to do with the fact that CT doesn't seem to be doing as good a job of mixing up their genres as the Film Crew did. I know we're probably not going to see any "made-for-TV" or Japanese movies, which were my favorite MST offerings, but I personally need a break from the Horror genre. As I understand it Dynamite Brothers would offer me that respite since it's Blaxploitation/Martial Arts. Bring it on I say! I want a break from the blood suckers!
