I'm in a similar position, to the point where I've considered going back on a tour. I would love nothing more than to go back to school and get my design degree. I wish you lots of luck, Change. The fact that you have survived as long as you have in that industry is a testament to your abilities! Bless you, o' keeper of the creepy gnome... ...and thanks for the vulvulating, mumms.

I wish you the best, buddy. I would really like to get a job like that, working inside a studio. Some place where I could get my foot in the door.

Yeah, there are a lot of severed feet around here.

If I went to Hollywood, do you think I could get a job as the guy who cleans up the severed feet? I'm sure I could find a way of disposing for them...some way...

Greetings- Well, today's my last day. A funny thing happened on Monday. That guy I was telling you about who offered me the job sent me a text message asking, "Are you awake yet?". This was at 5:45 am, and yes, I'd been up since 2:30. He wanted to know if I could come in that minute, as the guy I'm (hopefully) replacing called in sick. Well, he called in hung-over. Regrettably, I still had three days left on my present gig, and was very bummed I couldn't take advantage of the opportunity. One moment...my boss just informed me that I will have one more day on payroll. That is, of course, to come in and finish up the payroll/purchase orders/spreadsheets for the wrap, and help him finish loading his truck. Hey, it's a day's pay! Yea! So forget what I just attempted to do, and tune in tomorrow.

I really hope you can find something, Change. You're a good guy and a good friend too.

Thank you, my friend.
Greetings-
Well, my desk is empty, my truck is loaded, and that's a wrap.
I won't be around as much for an undetermined amount of time. If I don't get any office gigs for a while, it'll be the limited posting I can do at home 'til I get my internet situation sorted out. Disappointment for a few of you, and sweet relief for the rest.
We've worked our asses off for three days, and loaded tools, equipment, and material into a 48' trailer...and it's full. I'm tired, sore, and surprisingly not stressed about the prospect of unemployment. Maybe it's because I've gone through it already, and understand I can come out the other side...unscathed. Maybe it's the prospect of the job offer from by buddy at Paramount. Whatever it is, it's nice. I leave it in the Lord's hands...and I've never been disappointed.
You kids play nice, and I'll see you around the board.

Wow! I've not read any of these blogs until now and to find out Change is in such a difficult situation is not a good way to start reading them.
Best of luck, good friend. And hurry back. This board wouldn't be the same without you.

This is a party I wish you hadn't joined, CBG. But I am sure you'll come out okay on the other side.
If it helps, I can recommend cleaning and catching up with your movie collection. And doggie belly rubs.

Greetings- Something I've been meaning to mention... The property we've just purchased has storage sheds on it...so, yes, the B. now stands for "Two Sheds" Change "TwoSheds" Goode

Hey! I almost forgot... I got a call on Friday from the foreman I was working with on the last show. Well, he's working on a pilot down at The Lot, which is the old Samuel Goldwyn Studios down on Santa Monica. Anyway, it's at least a week's work, and one job always leads to the next, and I can't network in my back yard, so...6 AM Monday. Thanks for your support and well wishes...I'll keep you posted. Oh, the pilot is called "Trust Me". I have no idea what it's about, or who's in it.
