Beat me to the punch! And I may actually be able to swing two of these if I can remind my wife how much she loves me.

Wow, they're really into this live thing aren't they. It really makes sense now that they went with the format they did--no real plot, lots of one liners. CT is more like a perfomance than a produced show. Just like a band, they have their recorded, produced performance and then they go out and tour with it. They even have tour t-shirts!

Even if you haven't been too fond of their releases so far, go see them live if they're coming to your town. CT works so much better in the live environment. My wife doesn't even like MST3K, and she was laughing the whole time and really enjoyed it. And if you actually really like CT, then seeing them live is just pure greatness.
I even appreciate the DVD's more now after seeing them live. The riffing "style" and the interaction between the 5 seems to click more for me now, even on the old DVD's.
Though much of that could be that, after seeing them perform live, I'm not comparing them to MST3K as much in my head as I watch the episodes. CT has a much stronger identity of it's own now, even though it is the same voices.

In an interview Joel said this was the original plan, CT was envisioned primarily as a live act first.
I'll be going to Seattle, this is a dream come true. Yipee!

Thank you for the Cleveland date! Thank you for listening to our whining!
However, of all the weekends, it has to be on the weekend i'm shooting my senior film to graduate from college.
however, I will make this work.

I will probably try to get to Austin in March. Anyone else want to party with DoctorZ?

Looks like I'm headed to the SF show. Got my friend to agree to go with me, which might just qualify her for "best friend" status. Don't know if I'll be able to meet up with anybody (I don't want to make it any weirder for Tahleen than it already might be), but we'll see.
Anybody have an idea of how much tickets have been in the past? I'm trying to budget the trip.

The Lakeshore is a GREAT little house (and the Titans seemed to like it) and all seats (even on the side) were very good. Have fun! You'll love them live! (And get a t-shirt! $25!)

So I'm "doll" now? That's cool.
This show's at the Marines Memorial Theater... saw the seating plan at Ticketmaster, and it seems like a really intimate theater. I was thinking the balcony'd be a great place to be able to see the entire screen - what do you recommend? According to Ticketmaster, all tickets are $40, so I don't have to worry about premium seating... or should I try for front row center?
Oh, and I'm already planning on getting a T-shirt, as well as standing in line for the meet-and-greet... they always do that, right?

I'd watch that!
You should go for it - heck, I once wrote a short story for my Creative Writing class based on a video I made with a friend.

CT has a much stronger identity of it's own now, even though it is the same voices. Quinn Martin is right! Live theater is magic. If you can at all manage to go, you should go. It's definitely worthwhile. Plus you might get to meet RAD, who is awesome in his own right. This show's at the Marines Memorial Theater... saw the seating plan at Ticketmaster, and it seems like a really intimate theater. According to Ticketmaster, all tickets are $40, so I don't have to worry about premium seating... or should I try for front row center? Kyrie, my dh and I were in the front row of the Lakeshore Theater for two performances. We agreed that while it is cool to be so close, it was maybe a bit too close. We couldn't see all the Titans at once--we had to sort of look back and forth, like at a tennis match. So, if you're in the front rows, you really get the up-close and personal experience. Heck, if Joel does a spit take, you might be on the receiving end like we were! But if you're further back, you get the whole picture. It's all good.
