Me an' Peaches are going! I'll be the 6'5" redhead in the black and gray shirt. Peaches will be the cute one. Heading to the 2-hour border wait now. Huzzah!

Myself, Mrs. Torgo, and MJ are all going to the Saturday show. We plan on getting there sometime around 7 pm. I don't know about the others, but I'll be wearing a plaid turquoise shirt and black pants.

Got back into town last night, what a great weekend. (There will be pix from others I'm sure)
It was a bumpy beginning, everything that could go wrong, did on Friday but I finally met up with Mrs P and Cerrita, we had a nice dinner and watched my Rifftrax "The Happening" disc (technical difficulties have kept the ladies from seeing much 'Trax so it was fun to share this excellent ep)
The Saturday show was brilliant. We found Eric and the young lady he calls Peaches, both are wonderful people, Eric is hilarious BTW.
Right off the bat I met Trace and his wife in the lobby, shook Traces hand (AWESOME!) and later I spoke with RAD, what a cool guy he is.
My guests didn't make it (one got sick) which was upsetting, not only did I have to shell out for cab fare to my Motel but I had 2 tickets and no one to give them 2 (flushing $120 away is bad enough, at least $80+ went to a good cause - but knowing there'd be 2 empty seats made it worse... so I donated the tickets to will call in hopes that someone might pop by and take them)
Aside from that - the show was amazing, we got the Dynamite Brothers. (oh and I hope one day Frank's "Convoluted Man" song makes it as an extra on disc. What a riot.)
Next came the signing - I was all a twitter-pated and wondering what to say. The Titans made it easy, they are so friendly. Trace commented an my Iron Man shirt and said he liked the movie. The came Josh (Love ya man and I was always in your corner from season 0), the marvelous MJ and the mighty Frank - all very neat folk and what a delight to meet them.
Then there was Joel. Man, I love 'em all. But if CT were the Beatles, Joel would be my John Lennon. I actually got to meet Joel, talk to him, get a photo and ask him a geeky question which Frank helped him Sus out (Chopper, of "Kill them all!" - "Except for Chopper, he's the funny one" isn't a reference to anything specific media wise. It was just a name given for type of cool guy at a party kind of thing. 6 year mystery solved). The man was a class act, hell all of them were. I can't praise them enough.
Sunday I hung out with my Cousin then flew the coop. All told, despite a few rough patches, a great, great weekend.
I got to meet these people I've seen on a tiny screen for years, but also got to hang out with some truly awesome folk from the board. (plus I wound up with a nice momento - thanks to RAD as well as my 2 gracious online pals)
Oh, and while we love most everyone on this board we all agreed that we really want to meet Captain Hygiene. I've christened him Miss Congeniality and will now manage his 50 state tour, in which he will meet and great every soul in America as our good will ambassador. I thought you should know that upfront CH... pack your bags.

What an awesome weekend! Granted, it got off to a rough start. Mrs. Torgo agreed to meet me at the airport, but it wasn't until my plane had actually landed did we realize we hadn't arranged a meeting place. And I accidently left my cell phone at home. Enter an hour of us running about the airport trying to find each other. I'd called her husband twice before we finally stumbled together by the baggage claim. Me and Mrs. Torgo went to Pioneer Square on Friday, including the underground tour. That afternoon we met up with Mighty Jack, went to dinner and watched some episodes. There was a lot of episode watching over the weekend. Saturday morning I hung out with my cousin and her family, touring Pike Place Market, and that evening was the show. Mrs. Torgo (Jennifer), MJ (Shawn), and I (Alicia) got to the theater about 7, hanging out in the lobby and looking for Eric. (We were informed that he was a tall redhead from Cananda, so every redhead got questioned. Turns out he was the third we asked, and the second named Eric. Go figure!) We introduced ourselves to Trace, and got thoroughly freaked out by his wife. Jennifer and I were looking over the episodes for sale when a charming looking woman approached us and said "Are you Mrs. Phyllis Torgo?" much to Jen's surprise. She then turned and addressed me correctly as Cerrita. We spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out how she knew us. Then came the show itself. The opening act was a comedian named Gruber, who was amazing. Then Josh came out, and did a wonderful sketch with him. First he complimented MST fans on having an attention span, then provided a hypothesis about the grim future. Instead of hearing your favorite song on the radio, you'd hear your favorite clips from your favorite songs. Josh then let loose on a compliation of classic song opening lines and choruses. Frank joined them, and presented his concept for an action hero, Convluted Man. Talk about a super hero down on his luck... Out comes the rest of the cast, Mary Jo and Trace full of energy; and Joel kinda slinks out, hands clasped, head down. Dynamite Brothers was a terrible mix of a black-sploitation/Chinese kung-fu, and the riffing was golden, I don't think there was a riff that didn't get at least a solid chuckle. 10:30, the movie ends, a "Best of CT" encore plays, and it's time to stand in line for an hour and get autographs. Ron pulled us aside and presented our group with the show poster, which we decided to let Shawn have, thanks to his donation of the two extra tickets he had. Finally, we get to the autograph table, and I'm so nervous I can barely think. I got autographs from Trace and Mary Jo, then appologized to Josh for almost skipping over him. I let Frank know I'd watch Convoluted Man if it were on. Then Joel... I'd always had the idea that Joel was a shy guy, just sort of sitting there as fans oogled and crowded around for pictures. Imagine my surprise when I get to him; he stands, extends his hand confidently, and thanks me for attending the show. I'm so nervous I don't think I actually said anything to him. Someone took my camera from me and snapped the greatest photo in my entire life: Shawn was behind me, and got this jem of his own (which came out better than I thought it was going to. Stupid camera): I went back and got photos with Trace and Josh, then Mary Jo and Frank, but those pictures weren't good enough quality to post . Back to Jennifer's place, where I got a lovely pic of Mrs. and, uh, Mr. Torgo. The best weekend of my life. Na.

What a great recap! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and pictures everyone from the Seattle Show. Now I have faces with names (and my voodoo ceremony will begin shortly). What a great way to spend the weekend! Very similar to my Austin experience. I think I may try a West Coast Show next year so I can meet some new and old board friends.

Well, now y'all know what I look like! Isn't my hubby adorable? Cerrita pegged when she said he looked a bit like Joel's cousin. Cutie.

Why do I always find out about this stuff too late? I LIVE IN SEATTLE AND DIDN'T SEE CINEMATIC TITANIC. You can put that on my gravestone for future generations to pity my poor bones.
