I loved Matt Fraction's other work. I didn't know he was writing X-Men now. Maybe I'll have to pick up a few of his run.

I have good news and bad news.... Bad News-Gemstone Comics, who has published Disney Comics for 6 years...won't be publishing them anymore. Good News-Boom! Comics has picked-up the Disney Comics franchise. I hope they do well.

I wanted to hate it but the first issue of Batman and Robin was pretty good, I like how Quietly incorporates the sound effects into the art.
And Blackest Night is geering up - personally I think all the different colored ring groups is getting too convoluted, but I'm excited about this event.
My current buy list is...
Batman and Robin Green Lantern (and all the B.N. stuff) Supergirl X-Men Wolverine Weapon X Ms. Marvel (Trades only) Dardevil (Trades only)
R.I.P Blue Beetle, another one of my series cancelled.

Nope haven't read them (gave up on the Novels after the first one - not my cuppa) but the panels look great, who's doing the art?

Well, the only one I've seen at the library collects the early volumes, which seem to exactly follow a portion of the fourth book in the series. Since I just went through it, I had no real interest to read the same story again. If I found one of the later, original stories, I would check it out.
Also, I think the books change a great deal in tone after the first one, at least some of them for the better.

The first issue of Blackest Night was excellent! (I even got a free Black Lanter ring... so don't mess with me. LOL)
I do hope it doesn't fall apart into just one mindless fight after another as the Sinestro Corps War did, after a while I got numb to all the bloodshed and battles. Keep up the plot twists and the charcater development and this will be a winner.

Here's a video review of Batman: Fortunate Son in which Batman battles the evil of rock'n'roll. Trust me, it's stupider than it sounds. ;D atopfourthwall.blogspot.com/2009/08/batman-fortunate-son.htmlIf you want you can check out some of the other reviews this guy has done. I like his take on the main Marvel or DC stuff, but my favorites are the more obscure titles: Mr.T and the T-Force, Godzilla vs Barkley, Captain Planet, US-1, Youngblood etc.

Read The Predator Omnibus Vol. 1 by various authors which is a great expansion on the movies. The brother of Dutch (Schwarzenegger's character from the first film) gets into some bad scrapes and there's a cool story about the Predators hunting humans during the hell of World War I.
Read Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? by Neil Gaiman which builds a powerful final story off of all of the seemingly deadly ends Batman faces in several comics.
Read The Hedge Knight II: Sworn Sword by George R. R. Martin, adaptation by Ben Avery. This was terribly boring since there was mostly talking and not enough action or magic.
Now reading:
Tales from the Crypt, No. 1: Ghouls Gone Wild! by various authors
Tales from the Crypt, No. 2: Can You Fear Me Now? by various authors.
Aliens Vs. Predator Vs. The Terminator by Mark Schultz
It's a Bird by Steven T. Seagle
Sandman Mystery Theatre: The Mist and the Phantom of the Fair by Matt Wagner.

Read Tales from the Crypt, No. 1: Ghouls Gone Wild! and Tales from the Crypt, No. 2: Can You Fear Me Now? by various authors. One thing about these new comics is that they are not that gory or violent, but they all have the ironic comeuppance. It gets old after a while.
Aliens Vs. Predator Vs. The Terminator by Mark Schultz. After Alien Resurrection the Ripley clone is sought out by the android Call and find themselves caught up in a deadly conspiracy where Terminators from the past (our future) are somehow making new hybrids of their kind with Aliens. Then Predators show up to hunt down robots and xenomorphs. A neat idea with a silly ending.
The Walking Dead, Vol. 9: Here We Remain by Robert Kirkman. These books get pretty boring sometimes, then they slap you with a powerful part or a neat twist to keep you interested.
Doom Patrol: Planet Love by Grant Morrison which excellently wraps up Morrison's run on the series by tying up the loose ends and making a silly parody replacement team called Doom Force.
The Aliens Vs. Predator Omnibus Vol. 1 by various authors which was cool and elements from the stories here got into the first movie, but only a few.
Read It's a Bird by Steven T. Seagle which is a good book about a writer who gets a job writing Superman comics, but can't relate to the character - until he realizes that his own acceptance with a debilitating genetic disease in his family helps him realize that he has more in common with the Man of Steel than he thought.
Now reading Sandman Mystery Theatre: The Mist and the Phantom of the Fair by Matt Wagner and Steven T. Seagle.
Reading Superman Vs. The Terminator: Death to the Future by Alan Grant
Reading Whiteout by Greg Rucka

Read Superman Vs. The Terminator: Death to the Future by Alan Grant which was cool as Cyborg Superman makes a deal with a Terminatrix (this was published before Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) to ensure that Superman is destroyed and the future is dominated by machines.
Read Whiteout by Greg Rucka which turned out to be a murder mystery in Antarctica. A neat thriller, but not as incredible that I thought it would be.
Now reading Sandman Mystery Theatre: The Mist and the Phantom of the Fair by Matt Wagner and Steven T. Seagle.
Reading The Aliens Vs. Predator Omnibus Vol. 2 by various authors.
