It's a great show, but I'd like to see more of "Bob Vance. Vance Refrigeration." A most underused character, I agree.

I watch this show occasionally and every time I do, I think "why don't I watch this more? It's a riot!" I caught the dinner party one and laughed my ass off, than laughed it back on. The way everyone would rather have removed their own wisdom teeth with rusty spoons than be there--heeheeheehee!
I sometimes hear people speculating about why Steve Carrell hasn't quit the show now that his movie career is going so well. Trust me, as an actor, he knows that Michael is a role that comes along once in a career, and it being on such a hilarious, well written character focused show means you'd have to be a lot stupider than he is to leave.

that dinner party was awesome. i thought i would die laughing when we saw michael and jan's bedroom, where michael slept at the foot of the bed! and dwight bringing - who was it - his old babysitter, right? "it's purely physical, that's all you need to know." i wish this show came on every day. i'm so glad TBS runs two shows on tuesdays.

I think it is funny on this show that occasionally you see a person that is not ever said a line but they are standing around in the office. You watch it and are like "Who the hell is that?"
So is Tobey really moving to Costa Rica do you think???

So is Tobey really moving to Costa Rica do you think??? I don't know, but his hand on Pam's knee last week was beyond awkward. But to his credit, he sure can vault a chain link fence. Regardless, I love Toby. A very realistic character. As for Carell, I'd be more worried about him leaving the show if his movies were blockbusters. Evan Almighty tanked, and his more successful movies have been smaller films like 40 Year Old Virgin and Dan In Real Life. The Office provides a steady paycheck, and he's got a family to feed. Still, can you imagine the show without him? I've thought about who they could possibly get to replace him if they needed to, and it's a pretty short list as I see it.

Steve had a few major movies under his belt before he even went on The Office didn't he? He had already or had just made "40 year old Virgin" when the office started airing, if I am not mistaken.

Yeah, he had a few major movies but all supporting roles. Virgin marked his first breakout leading role (you can see how Michael Scott loses a lot of weight between the first and second seasons of The Office due to his getting in shape for the Andy role). He's been in demand since, but his success as a leading man has been kind of hit and miss, in my opinion. He built up a lot of credit with his stint on The Daily Show when he was arguably their best correspondent. Since then, I think Virgin and The Office are his greatest successes. I'm hoping Get Smart is good, though

I'm hoping Get Smart is good, though I could never imagine anyone else in that role...until Steve Carell.

I loved Steve Carell as Uncle Arthur in the movie Bewitched. It was the only really funny thing about the movie!

I'm hoping Get Smart is good, though I could never imagine anyone else in that role...until Steve Carell. I think Carell has the potential to pull off those kinds of roles. A lot of people didn't think anyone could replace Ricky Gervais' character in the original UK Office, but Carell took a similar character and totally made it his own. I hope he realizes how good he is as Michael Scott and sticks with the show for a while. I loved Steve Carell as Uncle Arthur in the movie Bewitched. It was the only really funny thing about the movie! I haven't seen Bewitched, but I know he also upstaged his fellow actors in Bruce Almighty. How many scenes is he in in that movie? One? His four minutes or so at the anchor desk were blazing-hot funny and easily the most memorable part of the film for me.

i've also wondered about jim - john krasinski. i know he was in the bomb movie that robin williams was in - i forget the name, the one where williams was a priest, but he must be getting better offers since he was just in that flick with george clooney. and pam, jenna fischer, has been in a few decent movies.

I gotta say, Michael became a man tonight... The idea of 'car flipping' never occurred to me, either. ....yeah, well it probably never will occur to me again.
