Good Day, eh?
So, like, I was at a truck stop the other day, picking up beer and back bacon, and they had SHOUT! Factory's SCTV VOL II for $6! So, of course, I bought it!
Any other fans out there?

Dr. Tongue's 3-D House of Stewardesses
This is the only show that can stack up to MST3K IMHO. I absolutely love this show. When I was in Austin for the CT show, I asked Trace when he did Freaks and Geeks if he ever compared notes with Joe Flaherty on their Gregory Peck impersonations. He mentioned he didn't because he would have been too much of a fanboy.

I've been watching the Shout Factory DVDs. Again and again I'm struck by the talent on display. There's no way I could pick out one cast member as a favorite over the others. Everybody does a great job. And speaking of Joe Flaherty, I just saw his fake promo for Taxi Driver starring Gregory Peck, and I loved it. I enjoy the original characters such as Count Floyd and the McKenzie brothers, but I have a special fondness for the impersonations. Such a great show.

SCTV back then is 100 better than SNL is now.
I always loved their Perry Como.

I always loved their Perry Como. Yes, I've never seen him more relaxed.

This thread title is misleading I thought they were going to start showing this on tv again.
Damn.
I used to watch this after Conan years ago, it's amazing. Mr. Science was my favorite bit.

^Yes! Nine to ten years ago NBC showed SCTV late at night and I'd watch it during summer vacation.

That's when I started watching it- I was in college at the time, and routinely stayed up well past 1AM with nothing better to do.

My favorite is still Battle of the PBS Stars. Mr. Rogers boxing Julia Child as Howard Cosell calls the fight is still one of the funniest things I've ever watched. SCTV was absolutely inspired and one of the rarer finds among awesome TV. I can't believe Change found it for $6! I'm totally going to be hunting for it now!!
What was that character of Martin Short's called? He was like a David Bowie/Sammy Davis Jr cross. Jackie something...
