One good thing: They're showing a marathon of "Greatest American Hero" today. ;D
Used to love this show. Wonder if it'll hold up.

I've had the DVDs for a while and I never tire of watching it. Then again, I'm a card carrying member of the Robert Culp fan club. I love watching that guy act. Especially when he's angry and snarky. Which is every episode of that show.

^^^ Robert Culp as Bill Maxwell was awesome. He's always fun to watch. His line delivery is great. (RIP) I had forgotten that whole Bill eating dog biscuits thing. I had also forgotten they had changed Ralph's last name from Hinkley to Hanley for a while because of a certain shooter.
One weird thing about the show: Ralph has a son, then, um... hmmm. I guess little Kevin was too inconvenient to keep on the show - I mean the guy was never HOME!

In the "spirit" of Sharknado and Sharktopus, et al, SyFy is coming up with a new one - "Ghost Shark". You read that right.

Hmm. SyFy is getting a little risque showing Spartacus: Blood and Sand. They don't show the nudity, but they sure swear up a storm. They've gotten away with saying a**hole and sh*t.
Figures a decent show they put on isn't one of their originals.

Anyone watching Z Nation? I watched the first episode and didn't think it had any promise so I stopped watching it. Then they were showing a marathon of it at the same time AMC was showing a marathon of The Walking Dead and I caught the last 3 eps of the season, just for poops and giggles. Sure, it's a lot cheesier than TWD, (though the caricatures that are Abraham and Eugene do tend to up the cheese factor on that show) but some of the stuff on it wasn't too awful. I don't really like all the characters, but the acting's not TOO bad. I don't like that bleachey, artsy, washed-out look they shoot a lot of the scenes in (if you know what I mean). But parts of the show were actually not too bad. I like the main character who survived being bitten by a zombie (or "Z" as they call them - I hate the fact that people think shortening the names of everything or just calling it by it's first letter is cool - it isn't).
He's kinda funny. And I was actually starting to get into where they were going with the character (no spoilers here). I just may actually (gulp) watch a SyFy show when the series starts up again.

Anyone watching "Killjoys"? It actually doesn't suck. It kind of drags, and I wish more stuff would happen, but it really isn't that bad. It's about space bounty hunters.

Since "Fear the Walking Dead" isn't really making it for me, I think I'll get my zombie fix when "Z Nation" starts up again tonight.

We-elll...It has it's moments, but, of course, it's been reduced to SyFy sleaze and cheese. I was liking the character of Murphy (the one who survived the zombie bite) and thinking they were taking him in an interesting direction, and I don't mind him being a goof once in a while, 'cause he can be funny, but, zombie strippers? Really?
I re-watched the last two episodes of last season and the first one of the new season. It's funny how in one scene they're shouting that they're out of ammo, then the next scene they're shooting up z's again. Uh...where'd they get the new ammo?
There's an episode where Murphy gets kidnapped by a trio who want to rob a pharmaceutical plant, and they drug the group Murphy is already with so they can take off with him. (He can get them past the zombies that are there). The group Murphy was originally with is in touch with a guy, I forget where he's supposed to be, either up north or the Arctic at a base and he still has access to some satellites and communications, and they ask him to see if he can spot a vehicle that the others took off in with Murphy and he tells them he spotted the truck they described TWO HOURS ago in a certain location, then they just catch up with them and all of a sudden they're, like, 5 minutes behind them. Okay.
And when they're at the pharmaceutical plant, the zombies are all hyped up on drugs running around in this fenced off area, and they say, yea, the z's love this stuff. Okay, how'd they get into the drugs? They can open a child-proof cap, but they can't open a GATE? (Was some of the stuff not bottled yet?)
There's a little problem with some of the stories (other than the fact that it's about zombies, of course).

I'm trying to like Van Helsing, but the vampires are pretty much just caricatures and the "heroine" just mostly spends time lying on a gurney injured, dead or dying.
