I just purchased my extended edition DVDs of The Two Towers, and posted this as my favorite movie of all time in another thread. And the grand finale comes to a theater near you in a matter of weeks.
So I was curious if there are any other fans out there. Or do you hate hobbits and everything they stand for?

I didn't think much of Fellowship but I have to admit the Two Towers rocked. I'll see the third.

LOTR:TTT was awesome. The fight scene was epic.

I've been waiting (impatiently) for a year now to see the Return of the King...just a few more weeks to go...It looks amazing. Also can't wait to see the extended Two Towers.

I was fortunate enough to get tickets to the Dever showing of "Trilogy Tuesday". On December 16, they're showing all 3 movies back-to-back-to-back.
I am so anxious that I put the tickets in an envelope and locked them in my desk at work. Not to be opened until the 16th.

I don't think I could sit in a theater for over 9 hours with no pause button and just 2 pee breaks.

I was told via email that the theater has agreed to "look the other way" regarding outside food & drinks.
Plus, after watching the first 2 movies about a zillion times, I know where the good restroom breaks are. I've got it all planned out.
And with the first 2 being the extended versions, the running time will come to about 11 and a half hours. Awwwww yeah.

Even if given the tickets for free I'd probably pass.

I don't know if I could watch them all back-to-back (...heck, I took two nights just to watch the new TTT:EE).
But about the Extended Edition of TTT, I have to say it improves the movie even more than the EE of FOTR improved that movie (...and I thought that one was a drastic improvement). So stuff that didn't make much sense in the theatrical version (ex. Famamir's behavior) or seemed too abrupt (ex. the end of the Helm's Deep battle) now works a lot better, so much so that it's a shame that this "definitive" version isn't what was in theaters in the first place.

The day the tripple show tix's were put up for sale in Columbus, they were sold out. I just can't fathom sitting for 11 hours watching the flix's. I can wait till Return of the King comes out, and do it at home... The movie seats are ok, but not THAT comfy. You got props from me amigo. I hope you enjoy it... I know everyone that's going will... Tell us who you see in costume! That'll be the best reason to go. I might hang outside the theater just to see the costumes.

Lord of the Rings is one of the best sagas to EVER come out on motion picture. Higher than the Matrix, even.

It's pretty good but I prefer a few more like Back to the Future, Matrix, Evil Dead, Indiana Jones, and Planet of the Apes (not the Tim Burton one, the good ones). I do think it's slightly higher than the 5 Star Wars films so far (let's just see how Episode III and Return of the King turn out before I make my final judgement).

I'm not sure where I rank the LOTR movies. I will say that I've never been dissapointed with them while watching the movies, and the problems that I had really weren't major. More stylistic than anything else.
