What is this "Joel And Trace Visit M.I.T." thing? Have we seen this before?
Also, posters? Awesome.

Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy (Why is it every other country has scientists but Mexico has archaeologists?)
The Girl in Lover's Lane ("Joel, why do all the prostitutes dress like Joan Blondell?")
Zombie Nightmare (Jon Mikl Thor hadn't discovered steroids yet.)
Racket Girls ("If you ever had a sexual fantasy about your maiden aunt, this is it!")
I look forward to this release.

Anyone heard which episode became available at the 11th hour? My guess is "Zombie Nightmare" since the others are more PD (i think)? It was probably ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE, as Code Red is releasing the UnMSTied version later this year. GIRL IN LOVER'S LANE and RACKET GIRLS are PD, ROBOT VS. THE AZTEC MUMMY was probably licensed from Bci Eclipse. "In a couple of day-eees, all of the town's skin will fall off!"

Coco, Trace and Joel gave a lecture at MIT to the university's Comparative Media Studies program a couple of months ago. Satellite News linked a couple of reports on it: www.mst3kinfo.com/?p=2189Should be a great extra!

Been awhile since I've seen any of those episodes (actually, I've never seen "Aztec Mummy"). I remember loving "Racket Girls" and liking "Girl In Lovers Lane" and "Zombie Nightmare". I'm definitely looking forward to this set! Was hoping "Castle of Fu Manchu" would be in there, but oh well. (Maybe that's the one that got bumped to Set XVI!)

Nice selection of episodes the two sci-fi ones are really the type I like. Also the special features sound really cool!
So there's just under 4 months until this one is released? That's quite a long time to wait.

Yeah, my thinking is that Shout licensed the film from Navarre (BCI Eclipse/Brentwood's parent company who pulled the plug). Too bad they couldn't put the Adam West-hosted Turkey Day bumpers on there as a bonus!

. . . hrm. I really hate to say it, but after three sets now, Shout Factory's selections have really not been doing it for me personally. Really wish they'd give the Season 1 stuff a rest and lean more towards S3 and S4. But then, I'll still be buying it first day anyway.

So there's just under 4 months until this one is released? That's quite a long time to wait. Good! Gives me time to catch up and get Volume 14 before this stinkburger* drops. Since I knew the anniversary set would go fast I snatched it up day one, but since then I've been trying to build up my missing Rhino volumes (still need 3,4,5,6,7,8,10.2 & 11) and put off 14 due to it's newness. This is the kick in the pants that I needed! Four episodes that are new to me are always preferred. ;D *stinkburger being a positive

I was super excited to see the selections on this set. I'm probably the only person on the planet that likes Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy, and one of the very few that really likes season 1. I love all the Mexican imports, because they are all so quirky... if you watch Univision, you'll realize that Spanish entertainment hasn't really improved since this movie was released. The riffing is sparse, but the cheese factor of this movie is this episodes' saving grace. It has the real midnight movie feel and that's what makes it for me in this episode.
Girl in Lovers Lane is a solid episode. I know it gets alot of love in this forum, but I have some issues with this episode because the movie is so damn depressing. I'd like to have seen this one replaced with another season 3 episode. Still a good one, though.
Zombie Nightmare is an all-time favorite. Love any of the 80's cheese and this one is a classic. So glad this one is coming to DVD. Also, great to see Season 6 gets some love again. So many good episodes in Season 6 and this is a fav.
Again... another episode that I view as a classic, but people don't seem to care for (aside from the brilliant short) Racket Girls. I know the wrestling scenes drag a bit, but what's not to like about this episode? The movie has all of the perfect ingredients for MST3k fodder and the riffing is hilarious. Plus, there's Joe. Love this one and glad it is finally coming out on DVD.

I love getting officially released season 1 episodes to upgrade to. My copies for the most part aren't very good.
Season 2-5.1 is my favorite era, so I'm especially happy about the 5th season episode.
Season 6 was on at a time when I wasn't watching the show that often (not because of Mike - he's great), and since then I have somehow managed to never see these two episodes (or at least don't remember them), so I'm excited about this set.
I liked the selections from Shout's first two volumes better, this set feels more random to me ala Rhino (though I know Zombie Nightmare is a big fav on the boards, so they're still going after favorites, which is awesome and better than Rhino). But I am very glad to see them give Comedy Central some lovin'.

"Trailers/promos"
...does that mean both movie trailers and the promos for the episodes?!

Definitely picking up the set (I don't think any company could produce an MST3K set I wouldn't buy). I just wish SF would surprise us with some stuff from harder to license eps.
