Greetings-
What don't you watch anymore?
Maybe a once beloved TV show that you've just burned-out on, or that cooking show that killed off your favorite character.
Maybe a show that you LOVED in your youth, and then seeing it again years later as an adult, you just went WTF?!
Let's hear...

Most shows that are on for any length of time lose me eventually. It would probably be a shorter list to name the ones I stayed with till the end (WKRP, Cheers, Mash, Wonder Years, St. Elsewhere and of course MST3K) - I get impatient and lose interest quick.
Even the greats jumped the shark, X-Files, All in the Family (Seinfeld I gave up on after a few years when it was still hot... it was just the same old thing every week and I got bored with it)
Ones that haven't aged well... Happy Days is one I've caught on reruns and wondered how the hell I ever watched such a corn ball show (my age, the era... it wouldn't have worked at any other time in my life)
I used to love Wild, Wild West as a kid, can't sit through 5 minutes of it today.
The current king is CSI - I stuck with that long ater dropping Miami and NY, as well as other detective related shows (Criminal Minds, Cold Case, W/O a Trace) - With Grissom gone though, I wonder how much longer I'll stick with it?

Great thread idea, Change!
I recently stopped watching NCIS. I watched it for a while in reruns on the USA network. I couldn't figure out whether I liked it or whether I couldn't stand it. Eventually I stopped watching, not because I decided I couldn't stand it, but because the uncertainty just bugged me. I mean, the stories were stupid. But, heck, I used to watch Law & Order all the time, so that didn't bother me too much. I liked most of the actors and some of the characters, especially the Goth lab tech and the geeky guy. And how can it not be fun to see David McCallum as the coroner? Even the actor who plays DiNozzo, or whatever his name, doesn't bother me. But what always got me was the weird smirky, sleazy innuendo going on, particularly with the DiNozzo guy (or whatever his name was). I tried to relax and not keep thinking that they all ought to have been fired for sexual harrassment. I tried to make allowance for dramatic exaggeration; most TV shows amp the level of flirtation in the workplace far beyond what's endurable in real life. But it's so ridiculous! It reminds me of the first Austin Powers movie, when Elizabeth Hurley's character just smiles at Austin's every come-on. Now Austin eventually seems kind of pathetic, and he does get slapped down (in that movie, anyway). But none of the NCIS characters ever do. And the show's not supposed to be a sitcom, it's supposed to be about people trying to catch murderers and terrorists! It got to be too odd and uncomfortable a viewing experience for me. I liked the actors, but I just want to reach in to the TV and slap their characters.

a show that you LOVED in your youth, and then seeing it again years later as an adult, you just went WTF?! That pretty much sums up my Gilligan's Island experience.

ALF. Dear gods, what did I see in it?
I really don't watch a lot of sitcoms any more, even ones I liked. The formula and "standard stories" are getting too obvious.

I watched ALF and liked it...but I haven't seen it since it was on...so, I'll take your word for it.

South Park. Comedy Central kept changing the times and then they would show like one new show and then reruns would be shown. I lost track of the show and really don't care any more.

Ren and Stimpy - First two seasons were gold but when John K got the boot the show became the pits.

Well, I didn't just stop watching anything, but I sold off my Voyager collection a few years ago, since I wasn't watching them and they were just taking up space. I still watch it if I can catch it on T.V., though.
Uhhh... I mean, there's literally dozens of shows I used to watch as a kid that I no longer watch. Who's The Boss, ALF, Back to the Future (The Animated Series), James Bond Jr., Inspector Gadget, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Voltron, Silver Spoons and that show on after Silver Spoons, and when I went over to my Grandma's, I would watch Fraggle Rock, Dumbo's Circus, and some stupid Disney show I can't remember.

Some shows that I eventually gave up on include:
Seinfeld ER Law and Order Friends Lost
I know there are others but I can't think of anymore at the moment. Pretty much the same reasons as TOny, Pepper, MJ

Bones. It was the first time I ever quit watching a show out of protest, but the ending of last season's Gormagon arc and despoiling of a great character ruined it for me and made me so angry I quit.
And while I love Battlestar Galactica I'm glad it's winding down. I can't take that much depression, no matter how well done, on a weekly basis forever.

Pretty much most cartoons from my childhood don't hold up now...shows like The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Doug, Inspector Gadget...the list could go on.
As far as shows I flat-out gave up on, the only ones that come to mind are The Simpsons and Family Guy. I know there are a lot of people who think The Simpsons are still funny, and perhaps they are, but it lost a lot of its heart around season 8. As for Family Guy, I really loved it when it first came on because the randomness seemed to be better-integrated with the story lines, but after the umpteenth time it came back, the show just turned into NOTHING BUT "Hey, remember that time when...".

I have been watching The Simpsons since day one, but it's at the point now where I don't even know why I'm still watching. Even the Halloween shows aren't as funny. To be fair, the movie was good, and I thought that maybe this would translate into better TV shows, but that never happened.

i can't allow myself to give up on the simpsons. even though the quality of comedy has declined over the years, i'm committed. but i did give up on aqua teen hunger force. i thought it was just so absurd it was hilarious, but now i think it kind of sucks.
