This should be fun. I've got my draft board worked out.

All right!
We've got 6 teams, so I'm going to hold the draft. I hope you've all got your boards in order.
If you want to tweak your team after the draft, trades and free agents are pretty easy to manage. Plus, with only 6 teams, there will still be plenty of good players available even after the draft.
Edit to add: It says our draft will happen in the next 72 hours. My guess is that the scoring will start automatically once our teams are set. I don't know if you can make adjustments to your draft board before then or not.

You can always drop players and pick up free agents throughout the season. Except for those players you can't drop. I ended up with a few, quite a few. Not that I'm complaining as I did OK, aside from being saddled with A-Fraud. Even if he was healthy I'd prefer someone else.

I didn't know there were players you couldn't drop. They can still be traded, though, right?
Someone will probably want A-Rod at some point. Not me, but someone might. For now, you can put him on your DL, which will free up a roster spot. I did it with Ichiro.
I know I need another shortstop. I ended up with 4 first basemen and only one shortstop and catcher. So I'm hoping we'll be trading amongst ourselves often.

I didn't do too bad. I wish Joe Mauer weren't on the DL, but I'm willing to wait and use my backups until he's back on the field. I might be in the market for some outfielders at some point, though.

I wish I had seen this before you all started it, I wouyld have loved to have joined. Maybe we could do this for football or some other sports later on this year.

I was too afraid to play Americans at their own game! Ha! I'm playing the British run one instead which only scores points for hitting and pitching plus there's no draft you just pick who you want within a budget. It's done like our fantasy football (soccer). Much easier. Mind you I had Chein-ming Wang pitching for me last night. 3 ruddy points! He is so dropped!

Just a reminder to everyone that the season is now 2 weeks old. You can edit your rosters and change who's in your lineup each day. I mention this because some of you are still starting players who are on the DL, meaning you're missing out on daily points.
I've already been beaten by crowfan and Dave Walker. Stupid Jimmy Rollins. Why can't you steal a base, already?

When you add or drop a player, it won't show up until the next day, so don't be alarmed.

I haven't tweaked my lineup much yet as it's been fairly decent and this is my first foray into fantasy baseball. I am still waiting for somebody to take A-Fraud off my hands though...

Yeah, it's my first foray into this as well, and I'm hesitant to change anything just yet. I'm pretty sure it won't take long for me to put Joe Mauer in the lineup once he's back, which apparently may be as soon as tomorrow.

You can click on the players name & click the "news & notes" tab or click icon & it will take you to "news & notes" for that specific player. Joe Mauer's News & Notes says: Another tip for everyone, if you have some one on the DL you can put them on the DL on your roster & that gives you an open spot on your roster so you can pick up a free agent. But once the player is healthy & you want him back on your roster you have to drop someone to make room.

I want to congratulate everyone one on clinching a playoff spot this early in the season.

Well, I decided to wait a couple of games before putting Mauer in and sure enough, he bats something like .700 in that span. The first game I get him in my lineup he goes 0-4!
I'm still trying to decide what to do about Furcal and the fact I have two backup catchers. I hated to take Suzuki out of the lineup because he had been playing a lot and playing well, so A.J. is probably going to be sent packing for another infielder of some kind. I've been happy with the outfield thus far, which is a position I considered a weakness for my team at the start. We'll see how long that lasts, though.
