I never read just one book at a time. Even while reading in bed at night, I usually flip through a few at once, until I hit that "Third Act" stage of a novel. Otherwise, I read a chapter or two of non-fiction, a short story or two, and pieces of novels.
I'm also a big bathroom reader. It's just a habit for which I blame my dad. When my wife and I first started living together, she was convinced I had a digestive disorder, but, no, I was just reading and kind of forgot where I was. What's even weirder, though, is that I often leave a book or two in each bathroom and only read it while I'm in there. So my wife (who is, as you can tell, rather disgusted by this entire thing) is constantly complaining about my "crappy" libraries.
So maybe that is a slightly disgusting habit, especially if it's a library book. ;D But once you have kids, the bathroom is one of the few places where you can't be bothered...

My reading has started being left mainly for breaks at work. Probably started during the month-period where I was constantly hitchhiking with any friends who were goin' my way, resulting in me sitting in fast food restaurants for vast amounts of time.
I think I read the majority of Dracula like that.

I often have several going at once, though not as many as when I was younger and had more time to devote to reading. Now, at the very least, I have one book that I physically read (albeit slowly, as my schedule permits) and one audiobook playing the entire time I'm driving anywhere.

I'm a bathroom reader too. The trouble is, I really get into books, so I lose track of time until either someone pounds on the door or I realize I can't feel my butt anymore. I've taken to only bringing magazines and design books into the bathroom so that I can more easily put them down.
Does anyone else read in the bath? I love to read while lounging in the tub. Very relaxing. Again, that can get dangerous when I come to and I'm a giant pink raisin shivering in a cold puddle.

I read on the bus to and from work. It's 30-45 minutes and the perfect place to read.

I hate not having a book anytime I'm idle. I've read while waiting in line at the store.

If there are less then 100 pages left, I must finish the book before the days is over. If I start a new book I want to get to page 100 as soon as possible. I will look to see what page chapter 11 is on, so I can figure out the average pages/chapter.

I keep track of all the books I read during the course of a year. Every time I finish a book I write down the title and author in a little notebook. I've been keeping this notebook since 1993. I don't know why I started doing it. I guess I just really like making lists.

I keep it well updated; as soon as I finish a book, I put it on my little virtual shelf, like so: www.shelfari.com/jennyashford/shelf

I like to read while I'm shouting my ransom demands to the police through a megaphone.

I read in the can. I read on my lunch break and then eat on the clock at my desk. I read in bed. I read while I listen to the news and other TV programs that don't require my total attention. I read while listening to music. I read in the car if I am not driving (seriously, I see people reading while driving, hope the book was worth it when you kill yourself and that mini van filled with kids or mentally challenged people on a field trip).
When I was a kid, I sometimes imagined the voice of a celebrity in my head as I was reading, kind of like my own book on tape. I think it comes from reading Stephen King's The Body (one of my favorite reads to this day). I kept hearing Richard Dreyfuss as the narrator. Other times Morgan Freeman, or Keith David.
I sometimes juggle two books at once, but I don't like to do more than that. i am also a big fan of reading the book and then either watching the movie or re watching it (just did this with Goodfellas, great book). My love of movies is what got me into books as a kid. I'd see the movie and then look into the book. Thus the birth of a voracious reader.
Lately, I have been enjoying reading while drunk. I have to do it at just the right time, or I run the risk of forgetting some of what I read the next day. Have to be just above tipsy. Anyone else do this? All my friends and family think its strange, but I enjoy it.

I read everywhere. I almost always have a book with me, and won't buy a purse unless a good sized paperback can fit inside it.
I have a huge pile of books I'm working on, and always swear I'm going to finish it before buying more, but then Alain De Botton or Sarah Waters comes out with a new one, or I get randomly hooked on ee cummings, and I just have to head out to Half Price Books...
I used to read in the tub in high school but quit after I dropped one too many books in the water.
I have a big collection of kid and young adult books I reread with regularity. I can't believe how much YA fiction has changed just in the last ten years.
I read certain books at certain times of the year. For Halloween, for example, it's The Halloween Tree, To The Dust Return'd, and Dracula. For Christmas it's A Christmas Carol, The Best Christmas Pagent Ever, and Connie Willis' Inn, the finest short story on the true meaning of the season ever published.

I was a voracious reader as a kid. Now days my eyes aren't so good and after about an hour or so, I need to stop reading. I read to escape whatever crappy environment I found myself in at the time. Boring classes from kindergarten thru college, parental abuse, long trips, idiot roommates, friends, relatives and their inability to deal with the most trivial problems in life without drama. Man, you name it. Reading has always been my solace, escape and joy. I read everywhere and at any time
