Just something cool I found digging around thehylia.com's TP archives. It's where my new sig comes from.

FYI Sony has officially dropped the 20GB SKU of the PS3. Yes, that means they have dropped the CHEAPER model. What's funny is that there have also been some rumors that Sony may release a more expensive 80GB SKU at some point. www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3158656MS has to be happy about this as it makes the Elite look a lot more reasonable even without a built in HD DVD player or wi-fi. As for me, it doesn't make me too happy. I was amongst those gamers waiting until the 20GB SKU hit $399, waiting for the 60GB SKU to hit that price point will take a lot longer. I expected that the 20GB version would've met that price point late next year or early 2009 so it'll take AT LEAST another year on top of that for the 60GB version to hit that point. I think I might re-buy a PS2 at some point.

Reportedly, the 20GB wasn't selling nearly as well as the 60GB, and some stores were even no longer choosing to stock 20GBs. While it does keep prices up, it's a pretty reasonable move from Sony's perspective.

True, but my whole point was that this basically kills them as far as ever competing in the casual gaming market for any significant period this generation.

True, but Sony's never marketed the PS3 towards the casual gamer anyway. They've always plugged it as something for the serious gamer who wants a powerful multimedia entertainment machine. I've never thought that was the smartest way to go, but Sony is clearly planting their feet firmly in that realm. They better be careful with that.

While making the rounds over at thehylia.com, I stumbled across a bit of intresting news. Appearently, someone created a mod allowing you to play Halo like OoT. First person and everything. It certainly was weird seeing it, but I guess OoT attracted its fair share of fans...
And in other news, nextgenwars.com reports that the Wii has cruised past the 6 Million mark and in only a little less than 5 months of release. Go Wii!

(Assuming you're referring to Ocarina of Time.)

(Assuming you're referring to Ocarina of Time.) "Some time ago, the Zelda community was made aware of several ongoing mod and emulation projects involving Ocarina of Time. The most popular, which is still discussed today, is the Halo CE mod based on Ocarina of Time. Created by a bunch of hardcore Halo and Zelda fans over at Project Zelda Online, there's several videos released so far, including a video displaying footage of Link going across Hyrule, replicated in the Halo engine. It's pretty amazing." -thehylia

I was trying to block it all. I officially hate Zelda now, and I used to love it.
Hey Hugh! How many KoL characters do you have?

I did. I used to love it. Now I can never enjoy it again. That's the last I will ever say about it.
I may have to borrow fishpicker's Wii at some point. I'm not surprised it has done so well (thank you for the figure, by the way-I was actually very curious). The games look really fun.

They are, and after this Summer they can only get better. SSBB, MP3, and SMG all look fun.

I still haven't even tried a Wii. It doesn't help that every display model is encased in clear plastic with no actual demo games. You'd think they could just modify the remotes with metal cords or something so nobody could steal them.
