Hey, guildies. I'm sorry I haven't been there for a while, but my computer is having some connection problems getting onto the KoL site. I'll be there as soon as I am able though. In the meantime (and until I can get on to pass the leadership) please recognize TS69 as your new guild god.
TS, I know you're not around here too much, but I know your commitment to the guild. And if you want the job, I appreciate it. If not, just run it with a loose confederation of players. I'll be back on as soon as I am able.

Man, I've lost total interest in KOL. Sigh. Honestly, the new content has made the game way too long and laborious for me. I'm not quitting it, but I just get sick of it way more easily.

I hit the other side of the wall. Even with the new content, I got my ascensions down to 2 weeks per, which got really boring after four or five. That's why I started hardcore and bad moon runs. So much of the game is having the right items. Without them, the game is really long. With them, it's almost too short.

So much of the game is having the right items. Without them, the game is really long. With them, it's almost too short. I really need a list of these items. I end up having to level up ridiculously high just so I can get through the later quests. The earlier quests, and especially the bosses, are easy. But with all the MacGuffin stuff, the Pirates, the Island War, etc., it's just a pain in the neck for me. I don't mind long games, but long text-based games get really draggy, to me.

But with all the MacGuffin stuff, the Pirates, the Island War, etc., it's just a pain in the neck for me. I don't mind long games, but long text-based games get really draggy, to me. Two tips to take the sting out of getting beaten up in levels 10-13: 1) Potions. I go through 50 or so Philters of Phorce and Serums of Sarcasm in a typical run. There are plenty of others that work, but those are the two that get me through. 2) Buffs. Go here and get all the free boosts you can. The other thing that really speeds up ascensions is perming skills. The more ascensions, the more cool stuff at your disposal. Also, knowing (and getting) quest items ahead of time really helps. 334 scrolls, goat cheese, sonar-in-a-biscuit, etc. are all readily available in the mall. The Mt. McLargehuge Quest never takes me more than about 3 adventures. I spend a lot of my early adventures starting later quests, like opening the Spookyraven rooms, getting through the pirates, or gathering my NS Quest keys (Boris, Jarlsberg, Digital, etc). Typically, I'll spend a week or so on Quests 1-10 and another week or so on Quests 11-13. As for helpful items besides potions: A Ring of Conflict (really speeds up finding important quest items, especially in levels 10-11). Deodorant (ditto) Island War Medals (big stat boosts) Anything that helps boost item drops Soft Green Echo Eyedrop Antidotes & Scrolls of Drastic Healing (for when you get beaten up) High-adventure-yielding food and booze (with the right permed stats, these become easier to get) There's more, but you're probably already bored. Shoot me a message in KoL if you want some more tips.

Also, if you're online and play the game, check the clan board. I'm doing a spur of the moment contest, so, if you want to win, check it out now!!!!!!

A message to all clannies and to all prospective KOL players reading this:
The Sewer (the way to get to Hobopolis) is activated. Start unlocking all these doors at disgusting junction, and we can get there.

I posted this on the clan forum, but, I know some of you get on here more than on there, so, here goes. I need someone with armorcraftiness to make me a six-rainbow shield from my prismatic wad and my wonderwall shield. So, if any of you can do that, I'll pay you a little or give you a familiar you don't have that I have plenty of or something. Please, help Uncle Servo out won't you?

No problemo Servo. Just send it to me, and I'll go ahead and craft you up some armor.
