Where are the best places to find familiars? I found my primary in the Spooky Woods, or whatever it's called, and I made the second one.

What are you looking for Hugh? There's tons of different ways to get familiars. A buch of them you can make. This is a great place for KOL referenceOf course, I'll help whenever I can with this, as some familiar components are... difficult to find.

Yeah, I've been using the Wiki. There's so much stuff in there, though, that it's hard to always find certain pieces of information. I made my Baby Gravy Fairy and I found my Mosquito. I was going to make the Hovering Sombrero, but I'll need a Poultrygeist. (Easier said than done, apparently.)
Beyond that, I know nothing.

You have to bet five hundred meat at the cockfight and lose. If that's out of your price range, I wouldn't mind doing it tonight after I get my adventures and helping you out.

All I've been doing is individual adventuring. I haven't done anything in the Cake Arena or player-to-player battles or cockfights or anything like that.
Am I missing a big part of the game?

PvP is okay if you feel like it (it doesn't use extra adventures)
The Cockfight is an individual adventure in south of the border.
The Cake Arena is a great place to level up your familiar, if you need to.
You're not missing out on a lot Samptari by not PvP-ing, but if your familiar sucks, you can level it up at the arena.

My familiar (mosquito) does pretty well. He's an 18-pounder.
But I'm with Hugh. I need a new one, and don't know where to find them.

I'd say about half of the game is the straightforward adventuring half. The other half is for people who've played the full game all the way through multiple times. That part involves figuring out strange combinations of items that give ultra rare familiars, rockin' cool outfits/tatoos/etc. In other words, a good half of the game are easter eggs that are mainly geared toward the humor side rather than the just adventuring and "levelling up" side. That other side takes an almost literal ton of meat, though.
And, for fun, look up the character "Bashy" on the wiki. He's one of the gods of the game, goes for like 1-day hardcore ascensions and what not. He knows the game better than the guys who write it.

I haven't felt like going on for a few days, and now I have 155 Adventures piled up. Huzzah!
I got your message, Quixote. Thanks for the Familiar tips. I ended up just buying a bloody volleyball for relatively cheap. I'm now on a mission to get ahold of a Leprechaun. Other than that, I'm pretty unfocused. I just want to level up ASAP, so I can finally complete the three open quests the Council's given me.

Yeah, stockpiling adventures works wonders. This way you can finish a quest if you're in the middle of it if you want to. If not, just bank the adventures for the Naughty Sorceress. She usually kicks your ass a few times before you can stand before her.
And just so anyone who may be considering joining this game know, many of the in-game hints provided by other players are in Haiku format. It's just one of the weird things that makes this game so wonderfully off-color.

Is there a limit to how many Adventures you can have at one time?

Yep. 200.
But you can get more than 200 by eating, drinking, etc. It's just that if you don't use them, you lose them and the counter sets back to 200 at rollover.

Ah, okay. Then I am at my limit. Better start adventuring again!

I've got a couple of Mr. Accessories now. So, uhhhhh, what the hell can I do with them besides kick a lot of ass? 1) Sell them for over 4mil meat apiece 2) trade them in Mr. Store for special familiars and the item-of-the-month 3) trade them for ultra rare stuff with other people (check chat channel trade)
