1st post! Has anyone here ever made a lifesized 'Bot prop? I remember seeing parts on Ebay going for $65 each for Tom Servo. Recently a complete Tom Servo was sold on eBay. Didnt make $200. I built one last year, cost $250 + labor to assemble. I love it. (Pics below) Has anyone built a Crow, Tom, Gypsy, Cambot? Mine:

That looks impressive and fun. Does he make cracks about things when you press a button?

That looks impressive and fun. Does he make cracks about things when you press a button? Sadly no, but I can add one rather easily. I also didnt op to add the puppet pieces so his mouth moves when you pull a string. I didnt trust it because one it breaks, you have to pull off the head to redo attach a string (normally aircraft cable) which after awhile, the tab you attach the wire to, will erode away. www.joecrow.com sells parts, or whole bots.

Ha! That's a great pic of Crow going for a spin. Here's a pic of what sits behind us while we record our iRiffs in my home studio. Took me awhile to build him, but it was worth it. and here's Servo waiting patiently while I was piecing together his display case shown above.

Hi everyone. A little while ago, I became recently acquainted with MST after being a big fan when I was a kid. After watching some episodes, The obsession came on strong and I decided I had to make my own bots. My main goal was to make them from found junk, rather than ensure screen accuracy. That's not to say that I didn't blow a bunch of money on ebay, but I didn't want to buy anything specifically made for building Crow and Tom. Anyway, it was a lot of fun collecting the parts (very slowly) and building them. For anyone who can afford to blow money on a couple of puppets, I recommend it. It's also much more fun watching terrible movies with Crow and Tom sitting next to you. Attachments:

I've shown mine before but I'll gladly show them again. I didn't build mine cause I'm all thumbs. I bought them from Joe Crow. Sporting his helmet from episode 501.

They look awesome. Impeccable paint on both but Crow especially! Thanks. I think the lighting/photography makes the paint look a little better than it is. That Testor's spray paint is tough to work with, especially when you know how little there is in that expensive can. It's fun seeing how everyone's bots look. Even on the show, they changed quite a bit, and there's always props. My Servo sometimes sports a top hat and monocle. Here's what I would have done for Halloween if I hadn't gotten sick.
