Yes, the next movie is Planet of the Dinosaurs! Some important details about this unique release: It will be available as a VOD and MP3. If you want to use the MP3, you MUST use the "retromedia" version, available here: www.amazon.com/Planet-Dinosaurs-20th-Anniversary-Widescreen/dp/B000TJBNB2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1241552272&sr=8-1Other versions, including the one that Netflix has available, WILL NOT WORK for synching purposes. We recommend you just get the VOD. It will go on sale Friday, 5/15 BEFORE it goes on sale, it will debut as a Live Riffing event. This Live Riffing event is a bit different than ones in the past. Here's how it will work: It begins at 6PM pacific, 9PM eastern Friday, 5/15 It will start with a live riffing of the short "Shake Hands with Danger". This is free, just like the first two live shows we did. After the short, the live show becomes a paid event. This will include the entire "Planet of Dinosaurs" performance as well as a Q & A. You have the option of paying 6.99 to just watch the live riff, or 14.99 for a package that includes among other things, the live versions of Shake Hands with Danger and Planet of Dinosaurs being made available for download after the show (they will be made available by the following Monday) The paid event works just like our trial we did last week. You buy it just like any other product, and you become authorized to view the page where the event is taking place. So, to summarize: Live riff on 5/15. Starts with a free Short, then converts to a paid performance of Planet of Dinosaurs. The studio version of Planet of Dinosaurs will be available for purchase when the show has ended (approx 8PM Pacific) The live event ticket can be bought here: www.rifftrax.com/live/planet-dinosaurs-live-ticketAnd the Product page is here: www.rifftrax.com/rifftrax/planet-dinosaursAny more questions? EDIT: We currently have no plans to produce a DVD of this release

how much will the VOD by itself be? you've priced me out for the live version. I liked watching the first short online when it was free, but wont pay for to watch it online. The most i'll pay for Riffs is $4, even that is pushing it. I used to buy all of the rifftrax, but once they got up to $4 i've had to pick and choose which ones i want the most.I'll prolly just get the mp3 version and be able to make a dvd myself. Does the VOD have DRM? or is it just a mpeg.

Sounds great! I'm there for the event and the download of said event. Nice to see them tackle another classic flick.
BTW, it would be nice if you guys send out email reminders the day of the event. Including those who purchased.

None of our VOD content has had DRM on it for a long time, probably close to a year. You're free to burn it to a DVD or watch it on whatever device you choose.

Just bought the full package (along with the Rifftones album, decided to treat myself) and can't wait. Think this'll start about 2am over here but it'll be well worth staying up for!

Oh ok, i havent bought a VOD in a long time and i remember it was some .divx file that could only be played in like a special player. Cool ill just get that. i wish i could watch it live, but my internet is so slow at youtube and streaming netflix, it would prolly buffer forever lol. Maybe if it was free.

It won't work for everyone, but you can check out the free short beforehand at least.

Interesting.
I saw this movie as a little kid, and it'll be pretty damn good riffing material. Would have made a grand MST, it would.

Great to see them going after a goofy old MST-worthy movie. Stop motion dinosaurs -- awesome.
I hope it sells okay so we see more movies like this mixed in with their regular stuff occasionally.

I have the movie on VHS. I suppose I'll still have to have the Retromedia version for syncing.

This is definately the sign of a good trend with rifftrax- classic cheesy movie. As much as i want to buy the VOD, i might hold out and see if its released on dvd
