When the Titans enter or leave the riffing chamber, are they turning away from us, or towards us? Same with the menu screen figures. When they go from the hall to the riffing chamber, are they walking between the seats and the screen, or between the seats and us?

Perhaps they are simultaneously both and neither. Maybe it's a Schrödinger's Cat theater.

I just watched the Oozing Skull, at the very end a spoof of Stephen Hawking appears onscreen to "I just thought of a funny joke for the car chase scene!" and as he leaves the theater you can see a sort of white shadow cross the platforms, indicating he was passing in front of it.
