iZombie was my favorite show last season, so that one I'm excited about.
Other than that, I'll be sticking with Elementary for it's 4th season, and will check out Supergirl.
I was going to skip it, but wound up watching the season 2 premier of Gotham and that was good. But last season Gotham would tease you with some good, and later break your heart with crap. So it's on a short leash.
I don't do Netflix and am still BD waiting for Daredevil. So anything there will have to wait as well.
Overall though, I just don't have time for a lot of TV, it's not high on my entertainment priority list. So I drop things if I get board or irritated with them (so no Flash, SHIELD and Arrow on my list)

Haven season 5, part 2 on October 8th. The final 13 episodes of this series will be broadcast on the SyFy channel. l really like this series. Based on the Stephen King novel "The Colorado Kid" Sadly this series will not be renewed. SyFy kind of sucks now. When it was Sci-Fi and broadcasting MST3K it was a much better channel. Now meh. I hardly ever watch that network anymore.

I already saw the season premier of Nashville, but I am looking forward to the rest of the season! Unfortunately the TV in my dorm's lounge isn't working, so I'll have to wait until I can go home and watch recorded episodes.

"Looking forward to" may be a bit strong, but what should prove interesting, or just weird, is a show called Better Late Than Never. It's a reality show that teams up, of all people, William Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman, Terry Bradshaw and some other dude, Jeff Dye (a comedian and a host on MTV, which I never watch, so I've never heard of him). They travel around Asia for 5 weeks and we get to see their experiences there.
Hmmm...

Well, you see there's this show called Mystery Science Theater 3000 that's coming back soon...
But other than the obvious, I suppose my most anticipated new show of the year is Star Trek: Discovery. I've been watching a lot of Trek on Netflix lately, and while quite a bit is dated, a modern Trek show should be something spectacular.
On my superhero radar, Luke Cage and Iron Fist should be standouts, since Netflix's Marvel shows are reliably terrific. Powerless seems interesting, though only about 30% of the preview they showed was actually funny. Have little to no interest in Legion at all, but will give a shot due to its X-Men ties.
Returning shows...don't know what I'm anticipating most, honestly. Daredevil is taking this year off to prep for Defenders. Agents of SHIELD probably had the best season of the rest of my superhero shows, which was surprising since its second season was pretty lame. The Flash should shake things up with Flashpoint, while Gotham was pretty damn great before a weak finale. Caught up with Supergirl on blu-ray and thought it started hiting the ball more after midseason, and am excited to see where a second season will go. On the other hand, iZombie is quirky fun on an episode of the week, but its story arcs are kind of boring me. Meanwhile Arrow is getting sillier and Legends of Tomorrow is feeling like the same episode over and over again.
And then there are things like Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, and Ash vs. Evil Dead, which I can't watch until they hit Netflix or blu-ray, which really bites. So I temper my anticipation down on all three.
So I guess MST and Trek are the biggies for me this season, and probably Luke Cage in a distant third. If the Flash stays consistent it will be the returning show to watch this year for me.

Looking forward to, with fingers crossed that it doesn't get COMPLETELY screwed up: Over on the CW (thought there was a separate thread for the channel, but it's just for The Flash and Arrow, et al.) they are doing a reboot of the movie Lost Boys. When The Vampire Diaries is no more, they'll roll out this one. Hopefully it won't be JUST about teen angst and that kind of crap and adults will be able to enjoy it as well.
Every season will be a new decade, starting with the '60s. It will take place over 70 years, same town, different non-vamps. The Lost Boys themselves will remain the same.
Sounds like it COULD be very intriguing, but I hope they don't make it too...icky, with the young set being ever predominant and all. The movie protagonists were young, but it was still enjoyable, I think. I hope they still give it that sense of mingled fun and darkness, and not just who's in a relationship and all that happy horse sh*t.

The series Feud looks pretty good, with Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon playing Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, mostly during their time filming Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.

This could be fun. Or...they put all the best parts in the clips.

It looks more like Star Trek than Discovery does.

Netflix is going to be working with Jim Henson's company to make a Dark Crystal series.

They're still going forward with it, though they scrapped the original pilot and got a new cast. That virus thingee got in the way, but supposedly it's still a go at some point. We'll see. Another thing I'm looking forward to: Over on BBC America (and I'm assuming BBC, uh B) they are going to do a series called The Watch. It's based on Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, specifically Ankh-Morpork City Watch. I've never read the book. I really should read some of the Discworld series, I always hear good things about it. Looks like the show has vampires and dragons in it and such. Looks interesting. Premiers Jan. 3rd.

I tried watching The Watch, I got about 5 minutes into it. It's kind of weird and I could barely understand what they were saying and I just couldn't sit through it. Don't know if I'll give it another try or not, it was in the wee hours of the morning when I was watching it and just wasn't up for it at that time. It's kind of all over the place and I just don't know if it will be my "cuppa". If someone else watches this, let me know what you think and if it's worth it.
