I looked around a bit and didn't find any topics on Cinematic Titanic doing shorts so I thought I'd bring it up.
Would anyone else love to see shorts before the films? I always really enjoyed them and the compilations of them are some of my favorite MST3K DVDs out there. Do you think it would be too similar to Rifftrax since they're doing shorts? Could shorts work into the storyline of Cinematic Titanic?
Thoughts?

I would see some overlap if they just released shorts on their own (not to say I'd be against that), but I'd love it if they released a short ahead of the main feature on some of their full-length films. I honestly wouldn't care whether or not they even tried to make sense of it in the CT storyline, though.

The shorts that MST3K did were originally done because of the time restriction they were faced with on television. If a movie ran too short, they had to fill the full two-hour gap with something, and they found the old shorts to be a wonderful wealth of material.
CT seems to be interested only in the full-length films. They have no time restrictions whatsoever, so they can concentrate on movies. Fine with me.

I always loved the shorts, so I'd love to see them do one here and there. Maybe as a DVD extra?

They'll probably have a short sooner or later. It's easier to negotiate rights for multiple movies at once. If they negotiate for 5 movies and one is only 70 minutes long, they could add a public domain short to round out the show/DVD.
