Today's the day when all TV Stations go digital. Well...the converters promised you more stations, but I still get the same old stations.

The picture quality on our flat screen is astonishing.

I estimate I will get a converter box in 2013 or 2014.

I get a few more channels here in the computer room (no cable line). Most of them are crap (A movie channel called "This" shows movies of MST3K quality, some of which have been featured on the show!), but multiple PBS stations can be stimulating.

The thing about DTV is that if the channel doesn't exist strong enough to watch, you can't watch it. About 1/2 of the channels I watched where I live before the switch were fuzzy, crappy channels with heavy interference (I haven't gotten decent TV signal since the towers went down). Now, I can't even fudge a signal. If it doesn't come in, I can't watch it scrambled for about five minutes until the signal clears up.
As such, my digital television box detects one, count 'em, ONE station, but I can't actually watch it. Wooh.

I searched out your "ThisTV" channel (WGALDT2). I wish I got that schedule. But here in the middle of nowhere I might not get anything without satellite or cable.

I have had The THIS network for less than 6 months (Portland, Ore). It's somehow affiliated with ABC. So perhaps you can contact your local ABC affiliate Sky and let them know that you want it. They do have MST3K quality shows on there and some are..... well painful

^^^^ They just had a Cher movie on the other day - "Chastity" I think it was.
I actually lost a channel when the switch happened. I was getting MoviePlex with my new digital TV and then when the switch came, I rescanned and it was gone. Greedy Comcast must've put it on a higher numbered station or something.
I thought that all stations were HD now? The stations I got before that weren't high def are coming in not much better than before. The ones that are specifically high def are coming in good, though.
Big deal.

I'm with CH, always the last with the new tech. I haven't had a TV in over a year and a half. I watch most everything on my laptop. Probably need to update everything. Hell, maybe it's time I replace my old wind up phonograph too?
