You know we're in San Diego, right? That's not close enough! WHY AREN'T YOU IN PASADENA, GAWD. Anyway, it doesn't change the fact that everyone I know that would be even remotely interested in going to the show are people who I've met through the internet and live miles away from me. All my local friends and family just stare blanky at me when I try to tempt them to pay money to watch people talk over a bad movie. xD So maybe I'm the only Mstie in Pasadena, blah. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see if anyone shows up at the theater, maybe I can make some new friends... I was living in Torrance, Robyn... Now I'm in S. Carolina. But Hoss Ragen lives in The Valley. You should PM him. He's a neat guy, and the only other MST Fan I've ever met... I will be having a "cerimonialsaketoast" before entering the theater (well, some beers anyway). Who will join me, if only in spirit?

I can't decide if I want to go to the Burbank one or Arcadia. If someone from the board is going to the one in Arcadia, then it might be worth it to fight the extra 10 minutes of San Gabriel-bound rush hour(s) traffic. Judging by the fact that the Burbank theaters are always packed with the young set, it might be sold out, so AMC Santa Anita might be the move. If so, see ya there, Robyn!

I'm not counting the members of my Brooklyn MST Meetup Group who will also be attending, because I don't know if any of them are members here. (If any of you guys are members of this board and are reading this, drop me a PM. Maybe we can meet up before the Meetup.) I just checked our page at Meetup.com and I saw that 26 people have RSPV'd "Yes". Not too shabby!
This is going to be so good! ;D

We may have gotten another couple who are old MST3K fans interested, but it's not a for sure thing. Still blown away this is being shown in my local theater.

Unfortunately, I don't know many (any) local MSTies, but it should be a fun experience. I'm very excited.

getting excited. bonus: I've still never watched the Plan 9 riff.
Gotta say this though, and I hope torgos agrees: twitter is lame. No more contests involving twitter please. Ever.

It's actually a really good way to get information out to people who want it. A lot more people subscribe to our twitter feed than read this or our forum.

I actually enjoy getting to read what people have to say on Twitter. It's not that I don't here, though - the thing about Twitter is it's a wider audience. Not a lot of people either know this forum (or even our forum) exists... but Twitter holds a lot of mass appeal. It's a better way of getting the word out to a more diverse audience than just a message board. For some reason they'd rather tweet short bursts of information than tap out long conversations that consist of many messages and many words. It's the whole "micro-blogging" trend - people are becoming less and less patient with how quickly they get their information. But besides that, I kinda like Twitter.

How dare you suggest that Twitter is more popular than a board about a long canceled puppet show! Twitter will be gone before you know it. We'll still be here hundreds of years from now.
