I owned a '57 Black Beauty repro for about 5 years but I knew it wouldn't last. She was too good for me. I sold her to an extremely respectful kid with far more talent than I ever had. I didn't play it nearly enough, but I sure miss looking at it. Les Paul made art every bit as much as he made guitars, and I used to display it that way. This looks just like her:

I've always been more of a Fender man but Les Paul was definitely a pioneer. A huge factor in the development of the electric guitar and recording technology. You were a cool dude Les.
