^ Sky: The Chargers moved the ball (through the air, the Jets shut down the run) but couldn't punch it in. They missed some FGs and had silly penalties. The Jets played their game, just kept plugging away to the end.
It's odd, the night before I was telling my brother that Norv reminded me of Wade Phillips, that I thought his Vikes would be okay and that the Jets could even pull off an upset.
And Dallas, that was delicious. I hate the boys as much as I hate the Steelers.
I'm glad for the Saints, but I gotta stick with my bro. Go Vikes! and go, uh ...Jets!

I think the most exciting Super Bowl would be Colts-Saints.
I have a lot of friends and family in Minnesota, so on the one hand I would like to see them win. On the other hand, it would be 2 full weeks of non-stop Favre-mania. Good God, please no.
Go Saints!

I admit the Saints/Colts has great appeal and I wouldn't whine if they clash in the SB.
Though I have a bit of a soft spot for the Jets (going back to the Broadway Joe days) - I think a Colts/Chargers matchup would have been a great game too. Ah well.
Oh, and what some people feel about Brett, I feel about Peyton... I'm right sick of hearing about how he walks on water (which he might be able to do, I'm not saying he isn't deserving of praise - but I'm sick of hearing about it).

I was hoping the Saints/Colts would go undefeated to the Super Bowl...mainly just so I could hear Dolphins fans cry.

It's nice to see the Saints finally in it, but my poor brother is heartbroken. They were running up and down that field on the Saints D, but would completely self destructed. If Peterson doesn't fumble within 5 yards of the end zone, that's it, game over, no OT. From then on, time and time again they'd get within reach and their would be a fumble or an INT.
I'm very sad, for my bro and I'd have loved to have seen Brett go out in the big game (he looks so worn out, I'd be surprised if he returns).
Plus the Jest lost - soooo not an enjoyable Sunday across the board. The Saints don't look good enough to beat the --yawn-- Colts. But maybe they'll shock me and it'll be a good game that they'll win.

Favre's last play (ever?) reminded me of any given time Charlie Brown snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The purple curse continues.
Any other time, I'd be happy for the Saints. New Orleans is a great city still with a lot of problems, they need a boost. But not against the Vikes, dammit!

Favre has been throwing those picks for what seems like forever. He caused the Packers to lose to the Giants a few years ago by throwing an interception in overtime. He will probably be back next year. It's kind of weird though, how the Vikings do seem to be kind of snakebit when it comes to the playoffs.

My Super Bowl prediction:
Colts 41 Saints 28
Sorry dph but Payton Manning is too much for the Saints mediocre defense. And they aren't going to implode like the Vikes did. But it wouldn't at all hurt my feelings to see the Saints win. That's what I'd prefer.

I'm hoping for a one-possession game all the way to the end, like the last 2 years.
But I think the Colts will win by 2 touchdowns, and put it away early in the 4th quarter. Here's hoping Brees can keep up.

It would be cool to see New Orleans win after all they've been through.
