Me too, Chuck. Just now, from Amazon. They said something about "low price garuantee" but that's only if THEY lower THEIR price.
But free shipping, so...
I wonder if they have one of those sales, when you enter a promotion code, I could re-do that purchase. You know what I mean?
The extras on Volume XVI were very tempting. Smart of Shout to do it that way. I already have all those episodes.
Plus, I missed out on The Crow Set! Dang!

I ordered mine from amazon today as well, using free shipping Me too, Chuck. Just now, from Amazon. They said something about "low price garuantee" but that's only if THEY lower THEIR price. But free shipping, so... You're right about that Bix, it only effects the prices at amazon; however, I did this with Vol XV and it worked out great for me. I cannot remember the exact initial price but it was similar to what vol XVI is selling at today. But I actually paid $38.99 so the price did fall somewhere between $6-$9 during the three or so months it sat in the pre-order queue.

I'm very glad to see Santa Claus being released. I don't care about the figurine, though; cheap piece of plastic, I could do without it. I'll wait to see if CD Universe is going to carry the set; I just recently ordered Volume XV and I'm waiting to get that.

I would have pre-ordered mine, but my wife has already guaranteed it would be under our tree come December 25th! Even better.
Of course, had it been released in November, I wouldn't have waited; the idea of watching the Turkey Day bumpers and version of Night of the Blood Beast would have been too enticing! I'm suprised SF didn't think to release this sooner and promote it as a "double-holiday" special. (More on this in the "Why Dec. 1st?" thread).

I just checked my pre-order. It was originally charged at $45.49 but now my order is listed as $41.99 via their "lowest price guarantee" thing. Let's see if it drops to the high $30.00 range like it did for Vol XV

So how come when I do a search on Amazon for Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume XVI it says it doesn't find any matches? MST3KInfo had a link to Amazon that they asked we use. See if it's still up.

Ordered mine as well, hoping for it to reach my northern european shores before christmas. Says it'll ship on December 1st. From experience it'll be tight! British customs tend to hold it up so the previous sets have taken about three weeks to reach me. Add Xmas post and possible postman strikes and I might not get mines until 2011!

Deepdiscount.com just put the set up for pre-order today. However the price there is actually a few dollars more than what Amazon is charging.
