drew carey was great - the weird thing with his hand was a little..weird. but still funny. the best part was annie, troy and abed trying to get that lawyer's email to prove to jeff he was a jerk. and why is annie going to NA? did i miss something? I think she was addicted to Adderall in high school. The guy who debates against them in the first season called her "Little Annie Adderall." That's just a guess.

Yeah, that's why she's there, she freaked out and became addicted and had to drop out of school.

Last night's episode might be my favorite yet. Season 2 has been outstanding so far. Which is too bad, because it's like the 4th least-watched show on any of the big-4 networks. I can't imagine it's going to survive much longer.

It doesn't help that CBS pulled a massive DM and moved Big Bang Theory to the same slot. Unlike CBS, a good chunk of NBC's programming is online and a large contingent of the fanbase watches it there. And the industry is still fighting setting up a ratings system for online viewing (beyond page hits).

I can't imagine it's going to survive much longer. it was on last night? when i checked, that gubernatorial debate was on. did it come on sometime afterward? i'll have to watch it online. they BETTER not pull community. right now i'm actually liking it more than the office.

I adore this show, sadly that means there's a good chance it will be cancelled then! Bought the first season DVD set. Great fun, the commentaries are hilarious.

i thought last night's episode was okay - pretty funny in places, but a little silly. i think the funniest part was when abed comes back out with his space suit on and sees everyone else, including the "space ship" is gone. the way he looks around and then finally looks up cracked me up. and the preview for troy and abed's space movie at the end was awesome.

Abed looking up was fantastic. I knew as soon as he walked out of the simulator that he was going to be doing Gary Sinise's character from Apollo 13.
I actually like these silly episodes. It had the same kind of vibe of Modern Warfare, just not quite as good. I also liked Annie driving the simulator out of the field with the dust trail behind it looking like rocket exhaust and the little fireworks that came up on Troy's screen when they completed the simulation. The Right Stuff, 2001, Apollo 13. They fit a lot of nice references in there.
Good stuff.

taped it and watched it last night. funny episode - i loved the storyline with pierce hanging out with the hipsters...especially the father/son thing between he and jeff - that was really funny. abed just astonishes me more and more with each show with how funny he is. he is almost taking over as the focus of the group for me. i liked the story between he and shirley - how funny was it when she was destroying abed's film when you could hear that middle eastern whine shirrrrrllleeeeyy in the background?

Pretty good episode, but they do hit the religion thing pretty hard every few episodes, don't they? Abed and his meta-masterpiece was clever and, well, complicated in a fun way, if that makes any sense. It also made me throw The Last Temptation of Christ in my Netflix queue.
Not knowing how much time they have left, I'm assuming they're throwing a lot of the episodes they weren't sure they'd have time for up on the screen. I'm glad they're doing it, if that's the case. If this is what they had in mind regardless, then wow. Bold, fun stuff.
Either way, I think it's a Halloween episode coming up this week. The last one was one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Looking forward to it.

oh man, who else saw the halloween episode?? it was AWESOME. better than last season. there were too many funny lines and scenes to mention. this featured some of troy's funniest stuff. and it had the funniest hook up, EVER. i'm going to have to watch this one again this weekend.
if this show gets canned, i am boycotting nbc FOREVER.

I thought it was good, but I liked last year's better. Maybe you have to be more of a zombie flick guy. But Troy did have some awesome lines.
"Jeff...still cool as a zombie."
Still all-around great stuff. I hear the numbers for Community were as good as they've been in a while. That's really good news.
