i just liked how absurd it was - they didn't try at all for anything to make sense. which is weird, since i just said i didn't like the episode a couple of weeks ago as much because i found it silly. i guess there is a fine line between silliness and absurdity.
i loved it when abed helped troy escape the zombies (i'm not really a zombie chick at all), when they do their little tribute to the empire strikes back - troy (to abed): i love you. abed: i know.
definitely glad to hear the numbers are up.
EDIT:
okay, sorry - but i watched it again and it was even funnier.
the abba music playing constantly over everything that was happening. the way troy shrieked, "you punched a lady bee!" to jeff as they were running from the zombies. that cat in the basement! that was hilarious! troy again - "is someone THROWING it??" when all the zombies started returning to normal - jeff just went from a zombie punching buttons on his blackberry back to himself, punching buttons on his blackberry. when troy was fighting off the zombies - "ow! you're so STRONG!" and of course, troy's "sexy dracula" costume. too funny.

I'll admit, I liked it a lot better on my repeat viewing, as well. I guess the first time I was still comparing it to the first season Halloween episode where Abed played the Dark Knight. That still makes me laugh.
And last night's was great, too. The Abed Robocop/Mean Girls hybrid was perfect for him, and it was fun to watch Britta, Annie and Shirley team up for something. Did they ever go back to that class?
Loved the trampoline. When Pierce demands the double bounce, then finally gets it, and shoots into the air slow-motion style, I was laughing out loud. And what does he say? Father? I only watched it once and I was laughing over it.
So good.

Community's a great show. I've been watching since midway through the first season and it's really fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.
I liked the Halloween episode. Not a big zombie fan, but it was okay. The Abba music was great and really off-putting. Really loved last night's episode, too. It was fun hearing Lizzie McGuire say "skanks" and "peanut-headed ass."

that cat in the basement! that was hilarious! troy again - "is someone THROWING it??" I started laughing again just reading your post about it. It was a great episode, especially with the ABBA music. I wish I could say the same for this past week's episode.

i still laugh a little when i think of troy yelling, "you punched a lady beeeee!"
last week's show was okay, but i'm still so impressed by the halloween ep. i was more interested in the jeff/troy/pierce story than abed with the chicks. i don't know what pierce said either on the trampoline, but it was funny as hell - especially when troy was sobbing as he broke the rule and double-jumped with him. and finding out josh was a racist was funny - especially the flashback of him showing his swastika tattoo. "it's going to be a maze!" and awesome that they brought back troy and abed in the mooorning!

great episode tonight, i thought. except i didn't like the ending that much. i thought it really would have been funny if the pen turned out to be behind annie's ear. or maybe behind the dean's. or troy did eat it. when the vent opened at the end of the show, i swear i thought chang was going to be the one to come out, not the monkey. that may have been the weirdest sentence i've ever typed.
but it was great, watching them all turn on each other - over a purple pen. and how about shirley's pregnancy test!!? troy's reaction was so funny.
and even though that might have been the first time they didn't end the show with troy and abed, aren't you glad you got to catch some of the puppy parade?

Damn, I missed it. TV/satellite was not working well, same with most of the Office. I haven't missed an episode of Community since the one last season that had to do with a boat. I still haven't seen it. Hopefully I'll catch up on them soon.

I loved it. Especially Abed's sarcasm rant. I had to play that back a few times. I liked the ending. It was good to see Annie's Boobs again. And THAT might have been the weirdest sentence I'VE ever typed.

SPOILERS!
watched thursday's episode last night. okay, i guess - it had its moments. but it was strange not to have all of them together throughout the whole story- just a jeff and annie episode, basically. not sure if i like them edging those two together again. i don't know why i'm so against that. actually, i liked the sheet fort story more. the best part (for me) was the chase through it - seeing all the different parts of it - britta in the turkish district cracked me up.

actually, i liked the sheet fort story more. the best part (for me) was the chase through it - seeing all the different parts of it - britta in the turkish district cracked me up. Yeah, I liked that a lot, too. Especially after Britta got so righteous about spending her time doing more grown up things when Abed and Troy talk about their blanket fort. That semi-embarrassed look on her face coupled with the "hey...guys" was an awesome moment. I definitely want to hang out with her in Fluffytown. No Chang this week. I wonder if Jeong is busy with some other projects at the moment. And yeah, I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode. Sounds like a good one.

i didn't know what you guys were talking about with the christmas episode until tonight when i saw the preview. now i can't wait!
tonight was a good episode, but kind of weird. i liked it though - i liked how troy ultimately decided not to celebrate his 21st birthday the same way i did. it was strange seeing the normally all together jeff and ultra uptight britta get so drunk and annoying. but i did like annie's texan accent. but weird about shirley - those pictures of her were funny, but her reaction to their teasing was more serious than i expected. will these things come up again as far as shirley is concerned? her near-pregnancy from her time with chang, or her drinking? the part when the guy (i love paul f. tompkins) endured listening to abed talk about farscape in hopes of trying to score with him was great. has anyone noticed they seem to be using chevy chase less than they used to, or is it me? him getting stuck in the little lobby of the bar was funny, but it was short.

I'm wondering if they're going to get Pierce out of the wheelchair soon. It really does limit his participation in group activities. I'm guessing he'll be that way until the mid-season break.
I did like last night's episode, but like Abed (I believe) said, it's one of the darker chapters in the group's relationship. Abed's Farscape conversation was hilarious, and Jeff and Britta going all snooty on what Troy should order for his first drink was all-to-true in some ways. Rightfully, Troy had some of the best lines, including "I can't wait to be able to understand what you're talking about!"
Was Annie developing a split personality at the bar? Brie is a pretty good actress.
And Shirley, I don't know what to think about that. It was funny but sad at the same time. Everything seemed to turn out fine, though. We just need a little more spare Chang.
Still great stuff.
