Wow. So that's what's going on with Lost Cool theory, anyway.

I always thought self-sabotage was a human trait. Are we going to have to give the LHC a name now? Haddie?
I agree, cool theory. I like what the article says about the theorist "playing around at the edge of our knowledge, which is a good thing."

Since you cannot see my face, I have to tell you I have both of my hands on my face.
Can we not tinker with something that could ripple time? I rather like the time that we have now.
I think they should spend this money on something productive, like the world's largest air-horn? Or Duct-tape wallets? Something that doesn't have the potential to release Yog-Sothoth?

That article is ridicules. Countless other projects all over the world suffer setbacks all the time. The only reason this one is making the news is because it’s so high profile. To suggest that a piece of machinery is trying to sabotage itself is nanners.
This is one of if not the most technologically advanced pieces of machinery ever built. Just as the Hubble space telescope had lot's of tech issues this one will also. The only reason this article is making waves is because it preys upon peoples natural inclination towards superstitious thought and fear of the unknown.
In short, it’s a bunch of poppycock.

Whoa, a few days ago when I heard this story it was saying that the super-scientific black hole thingies that this thing creates distort time and as such are cuasing malfunctions before they happen - a few days later and it's self aware!

I'm just glad it's waaaay over in Europe. Please be so kind as to keep your Black Holes on YOUR side of the Atlantic, thank you...
I blame Trumpy's Magic Snout, and his EU!

However, this could be the reason that we haven't discovered any evidence of technologically advanced extra-terrestrials. They all snuff themselves out when they start monkeying around with this stuff...
Nice knowing you all, in case, you know...poof.

I've read a lot about the Manhattan Project, and you know, they thought when they tested the first Trinity bomb that there was about a 10% chance (or maybe it was even a 20% chance, but basically, they were guessing) that it would unravel all matter in the universe. What's amazing is not so much that they thought that, but that they went ahead and tested it anyway! I wish I had cojones that big. Or no, wait, I'm a woman, that'd just be weird, but you know what I mean.
I suspect this situation will end up being not a bit scarier than what came after the Trinity test. Take that as you will.

It does seem a little weird doesn't? As a firm believer of murphy's law, i never underestimate anything.
