The Alien Factor
They really done Don Dohler right. My sides are still hurting. I don't care if all the CT releases are live. I might even prefer it.

watched alien factor for the third time last night. it just gets funnier every time i see it. and i couldn't admit this until calli did, but i sort of liked the song that unfortunate looking band played in the bar scene. "some...day...baaaaby...." i can't get it out of my head!

I noticed that that song is playing during the earlier typewriter scene also.

I noticed that that song is playing during the earlier typewriter scene also. Weird, Groupie noticed that too. I could've watched that twenty times and never noticed.

The Alien Factor.
Awesome. I loved how they tried to fit in a Beauty and the Beast theme at the very last possible second. Personally, I kind of liked that it was live; made it a little more engaging.

I got together with a buddy of mine on Saturday and we watched East meets Watts and The Alien Factor.
He enjoyed both and there were many gut busting moments between us.
A wonderful way to spend an evening!

The Alien Factor (4th viewing) I got done with the Brain that Wouldn't Die and didn't feel sleepy so I put this one on. I actually laughed more during this one, than I did for the MST episode. Great quips all around.

Do another Don Dohler movie please!

Danger on Tiki Island Fabulous! far less flubbed lines in this one. Barely a dead spot in the riffing. These live releases get better and better. I thought East meets Watts was good but I saw them riff it live to much greater effect. Timing is everything in riffing and there were far to many missteps and sputters. Perhaps they were nervous knowing they were taping? Alien Factor was better and I LOVED the movie. TIki Island they are on Que plus the movie is perfect. Great stuff. Keep the live DVDs coming!

Danger on Tiki Island
A perfect movie very well done. I wish they'd keep the live efforts coming. Mini-documentary was a nice little addition.

dr. frankenstein's castle of freaks
this was the first time i've watched a studio version CT in a long time. although i really enjoy the bizareness of the movie and the riffs are good, it definitely lacks the energy of a live release. the funniest part to me was when the hot chick, having just taken her milk bath, screams for about ten minutes at that igor character when she opens the door and he's standing there. i felt bad for the poor guy.

I noticed that that song is playing during the earlier typewriter scene also. Weird, Groupie noticed that too. I could've watched that twenty times and never noticed. Oh, I noticed that too. Just layer on the cross-promotion, why dontcha? They do the same thing in The Deadly Bees. We get the "live" version of that song by The Birds, then a few seconds of the same song on the radio or record player.

legacy of blood
i've owned the dvd for a while now but just got around to watching it. i liked it a lot. not ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC but pretty funny. i did laugh quite a bit, plus the movie itself was pretty great with its utter wtf-ness.

just saw tiki island tonight and again, another great episode. i am not sure about east meets watts or alien factor, but i don't think i would have enjoyed tiki as much if they had done this one in the studio. one of the weirdest damn movies so far, that's for sure. as soon as i heard jim's voice i was like - who is that? i know that voice! attack of the the eye creatures guy!
mary jo may have done her funniest riff so far with her: oh, she's thinking about it - riff. that definitely seemed to get the biggest laugh from the audience. i enjoyed the mini-doc, too. i liked hearing their thoughts on each other - there is a lot of respect there, and you can tell they are all great fans of each others contributions to CT.

east meets watts
i was craving joel's daaaamn right from this one, so i watched it a couple of nights ago. it could be my favorite live release, but every time i watch alien factor, i think the same thing. i didn't think i'd like east meets watts that much, because i never was into kung fu movies growing up - but i should have known the titans would make me love it. so many unintentional hilarious moments in that movie, so many awesome riffs. the funniest one to me might be when frank shrieks, "don't you judge me!!"
