I always thought this idea could have made for an incredible film: The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made!. The article says it's been thrown around in various forms since the 1980s, but it sounds like whatever this new announcement is, it's going in a different direction.

Segel's been talking about this for a couple of years now. He's a huge Muppet geek and a pretty decent writer, so I've got high hopes.

I love Jim Henson/the Muppets, but I just got SNL Season One (for about £8). Wow, the "adult" Muppets are really not very good. I'd never seen these before.
