All right, I don't own any of the CT DVDs. Where do I begin?

For me, Legacy of Blood. So far, it's the only one I've watched more than once. Lots of laughs in that one.
Runner-up would be Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Hilarious redux. (And 'tis the season!)
I would steer clear of Oozing Skull and Wasp Woman for first timers....I found these to be somewhat slow. Doomsday Machine is a pretty good installment, but the movie is so awful (I mean, REALLY REALLY BAD) that it might be a challenge to get through.
Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks is decent, but sort of in the middle for me.
Fell asleep during Blood of the Vampires, so I can't fully judge that one.
Judging by the live show, The Alien Factor may be the best one of all, but so far not on DVD yet.

I was actually leaning towards Legacy of Blood. I think I might. Still, want to hear more input from others... so...
I was also considering SCCTM since I'm not actually a huge fan of the MST3K and want to see how this one compares.
I saw CT do Danger on Tiki Island live; that was pretty great. I'm interested to see how the live DVD thing will work.

SCCTM was so much better on the CT version than the MST3K. To me it is the funniest episode yet.

Legacy and SCCTM are steady beginning to end. Vampire (my favorite) has a few more dry spots, but when it gets on a roll it get gigantic laughs from me (part of it might be that I was raised Catholic and they have many Catholic-centric digs that made me howl, but did offend others).
Oozing and Doomsday are both rock solid funny.
Frankenstein and Wasp both have highlights but are a step bellow their usual fine work IMHO

So, I just recently splurged on the MST3K 20th Anniversary Edition and Volume XV (and I have XVI on the way), so I might wait a bit (i.e. wait for hanukkah presents in the form of lots of money) and then get myself two CT DVDs since I'm incapable of decision-making.
So far it seems like Legacy of Blood and SCCTM are the two best ones, and that's definitely what I'm leaning towards, but further input is appreciated!

I think Blood of the Vampires is the best one yet. That one gets repeat viewings. The riffing is excellent, and the movie is pure bizzaro-world cheese. It was filmed in the Philippines in the early '60s, but takes place in 19th century Mexico (which led Josh to comment "That's a good sign, when English is your movie's third language.")
I'd probably rate Santa Claus Conquers the Martians as my second favorite. Again, the riffing is great, and it has one of the better host segments (Joel gives out Christmas presents). It also includes several scenes that were cut from the MST3K episode because of time constraints. If your familiar with the MST version of CCCtM, then it will be a little odd because you'll be expecting certain riffs at certain times. Once you've watched it a couple of times, though, it ceases to be a problem.
A step down from those two are Legacy of Blood and Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks. The bottom three (although bottom is a relative term, they're still funny) are Oozing Skull, Doomsday Machine and Wasp Woman.

Well, I've ordered SCCTM and Legacy of Blood, as y'all suggested.
I'll let you know what I think!
