Oh, i tought i would be a VOD... i don't buy rifftrax dvds, they take too long to arrive in my country. Guess i'll wait if it ever comes as a VOD. Thanks anyway![/quote] They are uploading it as download to burn soon though.

I love it. Rifftrax fans are happy about live DVD's, while CT fans revolt. The irony is delicious I agree. But I'm a happy go lucky sort (okay, quit chuckling behind your hands) and I'll be ordering both with a happy go lucky cheerful -Mr B Natural musical- heart (staged revolt pending in case it really sucks) ;D Glad to see this released (and since I was buying things for myself I went and ordered a "Push the button, Frank" T at MST3K.com too - Oh this is shaping up as the Merriest Riff Christmas ever!)

Damn, Rifftrax must have a package teleporter cause mine is already here. Watching it now. I love the four and grain expo commercial, extremely funny.

Watched this last night. Laughed out loud in many places although this is the third time out for Plan 9. I have the solo Mike, the Rifftrax Redeaux and now the live show. I really like this DVD. It has a lot of good extras on the disk and I especially liked the two "commercials" for the Wheat Mill Show (Grain will suffer!) and Berry Watch. I didn't know about those guys until I saw their efforts. I've got to look up their site. Loved the songs by Jonathan Coulton as well. This version of Plan 9 was the longest I think I've ever seen. I had no idea the speech by Eros got into that much detail. They really cut it short in most of the available versions. I was going to save this for Christmas Day viewing, but no chance of that! Ripped that sucker open and viewed it the night I got it!

Received mine today!
I enjoyed this one better than the X-Mas show. I think it was a good idea to mix it up with a host, musical guest and the infomercials. It kept things lively and felt like a good old fashioned variety show in a way.
I enjoy live comedy whether I'm actually in the audience or watching on TV/DVD - something about the interplay between act and audience, the spontaneous laughter... It adds to my enjoyment.
Liked the different riffs, especially on the short, which seems funnier live than the studio release.
Not a fan of Coulton at all. While I didn't mind a musical interlude, that was 12 minutes too much of that guy. One song would have sufficed, plus the one with the the Rifftones.
I can't believe I own 3 DVDs of Plan 9! Each has it's own spin, a few different riffs... but 3 versions of Plan 9! In context, I own 3 different copies of "North by Northwest"... only rifftrax could get Ed Wood spoken in the same sentence with Hitchcock. ;D

I bought it Sunday, got it Thursday, and then watched it Friday. In a word: EXCELLENT!
I mean, really. The riffing was top notch. The short left a little to be desired, and there was about 30-40 minutes worth of filler, but the main attraction was fantastic. Plus, it comes with a coupon for a download of their Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets RiffTrax : D

Question (okay, questions): I'm planning on getting the DVD, but it's available for physical form, VOD and Burnable. Do you get the extras if you get the VOD or the Burnable? And what's the difference between the VOD and the burnable?

Great DVD, lots of energy to the riffing even if it is the third riff of Plan 9 I've now seen and the stuff before the main event is great.

I watched it recently when they put it back in theaters for one night. I must say, I was disappointed by it on many levels.
The long intro with the singer I've never heard of singing lame songs about put me to sleep from boredom. Then they rolled out the stupid fake "sponsor" clips which were even more stupid and boring. and then the crappy singer sang again!! And then another fake commercial!! ARRGH!!
Not to mention the lame woman they had MCing it.
The movie itself was not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. It was pretty awful, yes,.. but MST3k did ones much worse. It was the most enjoyable part though. Seems like there was a short but I was so annoyed by the singer I think it blacked out anything funny until the movie started.
Birdemic and Manos were much better, I realize Plan 9 was done several years ago when maybe they hadn't quite hit their stride yet but even so. They padded the presentation with too much crappy content.
