Checks in the mail... he, he. Remember when you actually had to do that on an order? So much faster these days.
Been a good December: I bought the new MST set, now live Rifftrax and CT releases - in addition to the 'trax Christmas show and the T shirt I ordered at MST3k.com. Loads of laughs this season.

I downloaded mine last night and watched some then and the rest today. IMO is peters out in the last third, but you know, on additional viewings most of these shows get better and better.
I was overwhelmed on first take however. Not sure I prefer Live over Studio either.

Downloaded, burned and watched about 20 minutes of it last night (I'm sick with a cold so bed was more suductive than laughter last night.) I like this approach on their live DVD. Although they are a bit out of focus it's really great to see the Riffers faces reacting to the movie in the perifery of your vision. This was the first live Riff I ever saw so buying this download was a must have for me. I am not bothered at all by the audience sounds and laughter. The only suggestion I would make is to do the next one in "letterbox" wide screen format so it doesn't look squished. I can easily deal with the blank tops and bottoms for more views of my heroes! (Or did I forget to change the ratio on my TV? I'll have to check it out!) Great effort. More. More. More!

So I take it that it's not animorphic widescreen like the clip lead me to believe? Sigh. A shame. I was looking forward to that aspect of the production the most.

Got it today and just finished watching it. I really liked it. The riffing was pretty funny, and the audience didn't take away from the riffing. If the Titans want to go with the live DVD, I'll support them.

I just watched it again with a friend today (n0t my regular MST/CT/RT watchin buddy) and we both had a good hour and half laugh at this DVD. I still stand by my previous statement that this is the best release so far.

Is it just the movie or do they include the opening skits and bits?

Is it just the movie or do they include the opening skits and bits? They have a short segment where they introduce everyone, and then it is just the movie. If they are going to completely give up on any premise or back story than this format will work. I enjoyed the presentation more than I thought I would. There are some jokes that would not work without seeing the titans on the sides. I also enjoyed the interaction between the titans in the live format. The DVD is in widescreen format with the movie in 4:3 aspect ratio in the center with the live titans on each side to fill out the 16:9 overall aspect ratio.
