It seems like any rifftrax I buy and download I have trouble actually downloading where it just stops and says it is complete halfway through the download. With the shorts I just try a couple times and finally it holds out long enough for a full download, but recently I purchased the burnable download for Maniac and no matter which part I try to download it doesn't get past 10% or so. Any suggestions folks?
Edit - I don't have problems download stuff from other sources online.

I had a lot of problems downloading the burnable Maniac. I finally used a download manager and it worked OK.

Yeah, the new server move introduced some unexpected issues that are pretty hard to reproduce. It only seems to affect users in certain areas or who are on DSL connections. (At least, that seems to be the trend.)
We're talking about alternatives now that should help ease the problem.

I'm using firefox instead of ie right now and it seems to be working alright (90% through part one currently).

Try FlashGet. It's free and worked fine for me. Though it did take multiple attempts to suceed.

I have DSL and Firefox... I only had one download stop in the middle, but I was trying to download 3 of the Christmas shorts I had purchased at the same time. But after the two finished downloading, I restarted it and no problems after that. I just assumed it was a bandwidth issue because they had just been released and maybe everyone was downloading at once.

well another night off spent trying to get any part of this to download, got part one at 97% and keep trying different ways to make stuff work and now it looks like I'm locked out. Wish I could just pay the rifftrax folks a couple bucks extra for shipping and a dvd-r and have them make and send it to me since I can't download Maniac, since whenever an actual dvd comes out I'll be out the extra $7 bucks I spent.
Guess my attempts to download anything will be limited to things less than 100mb since anything over has failed.

I'm sure they don't want to loose your business.

I probably will at some point, I'm just been a bit overwhelmed dealing with online companies lately as I've been fighting with another company online trying to get the $200 they owe me.

As a general rule, if you want help from us, email us. Don't post on a forum that isn't connected to our site. Write to support@rifftrax.com, and tell us what your problems are and your setup is (are you using Vista? DSL?) When you email us directly, we'll help you out right away or at the very least give you a refund or credit.

Just to add my voice, the last riff I purchased did the same sorta thing. The first time i tried to dl, it said it was finished in about 2 seconds, but there was no file on my computer. The second time it worked fine however, though it was a tad slow in downloading. It's the only riff I've purchased lately, and until I looked at this thread I just figured it was some weird quirk. I was using cable modem and IE.

If mods want to lock this topic up or delete it go ahead, since I originally only meant it as a call out to see if I were alone in this matter and I got a bit off of that

We should have a new system in place next week that'll ease the download issues. It seems to be server-related, and has to do with slower connection speeds / network congestion or other variables that cause the connection to drop prematurely. Sorry for the trouble - I know it sucks. I can never reproduce it but enough people have written in that it seems to be an issue worth addressing. When it happens, we'll make an announcement on our official Twitter feed first (http://twitter.com/rifftrax) as well as on the official forum, and if I remember I'll come back here and let you guys know too
