It's derivative and lame and wildly popular. I don't understand it. I can't understand its entertainment value at all.
Now they have complete wastes of humanity like that no-talent exploitive Kate Gosselin.
Rant over. Thanks. Now I feel better.
Tell me where I'm wrong.

You have taste, pure and simple.
I don't watch any of that crap. Come to think of it, the only network TV I watch is All My Children reruns each night on SoapNet.

I mean for a show to be called Dancing with the Stars, shouldn't they at least have some bonafide stars on it?

Don't even bother to watch that show. I've seen better dancers at high school parties.

My mom watches it, just because she likes watching dancing. If a football player is one of the contestants, my brother might join her. Me? I'm watching wrestling that night.
All I know is that this season it's Buzz Aldrin at a low point in his career, Pam Anderson at a high point, and Kate Gosselin getting more undeserved attention.

Unfortunately, my kids LOVE the show. I've been trying to keep them from it (like my 7 year old son needs to look at Pam Anderson in one of those outfits and hear the judges talk about how sexy her dance was...HE'S 7!). But Mrs. Atari encourages it. She said it's no different than the variety shows we watched as kids in the late '70s. Sadly, she's got a point. Donny Osmond won last year, and the Muppets showed up the season before. But she's more right than she realizes...those variety shows sucked, too.

I could never get into this show. I don't understand the attraction to it. I can't say much myself though...as I will watch VH1 celeb reality shows like Celebrity Fit club and Celebrity Rehab...but then again fake drama or not those kind of shows amuse me much more than "celebs" dancing and getting voted off.

Despite the opinion of several women here I would would venture a guess that this show wouldn't exist without women viewers. There, I said it, prove me wrong!

That's why you're wrong. I know a couple of guys who watch it just for the network version of soft-porn. They even call in votes to keep the girls and boot the guys.

Anecdotal evidence. I stand by my irrational opinion.

I've never watched it, never will. However, I do remember watching Circus of the Stars in the 70s. Wouldn't you like to see Kate Gosselin have a tragic fall from a trapeze, or Pam Anderson mauled by a tiger? Poor tiger would die from silicon poisoning, though.

My wife loves it. It's the only show she has to watch. I try my best to avoid it but did happen to watch the 80 year old astronaut get the boot last night. The whole thing is lame to the lamest degree.
