My sister-in-law watches that, and Idol, and So You Think You Can Dance. I don't know if my brother would watch them if he had a choice, but such is married life, right?
I remember when Adam Corolla was on DWTS. I didn't watch it per se, but it was funny listening to him rant about things on the radio the next day.
I remember Circus of the Stars, but the best show was The Superstars. If you vere wanted to see a kayak competiton between, I don't know...Terry Bradshaw and Lou Ferrigno.

My friend loves it, and while we were in Chicago on vacation, I had to watch an episode with her in the hotel room. Granted, I know nothing about dancing, and she does, so she at least has reasons for wanting to watch it, because she can critique along with the judges LOL. I think the whole thing is silly.
Though I do have to say, I loved Niecy Nash on Reno! 911, so I was happy to see her and she was pretty funny. That's the only redeeming thing about the episode I watched heh. I do read some of the recaps online because they're so damn snarky.

I hate it too, especially now that Kate Gosselin is on the show, that woman gets under my skin. Anyway, I've never cared for "talent" type shows.

I don't watch "talent" shows like "American Idol" but I can live with them. It's reality shows that make stars out of undeserving nonentities that get under my skin. DwtS is probably closer to the former, I just have to question some of the "stars."
